Clear & Simple Stamps Group Post: Seasonal Inspiration

It's Tuesday, and it's time again for another Clear and Simple Stamps Group Project!  I have had the most wonderful month creating with these amazing products and working with such an amazing team.  I am truly blessed and thankful to have been given this opportunity.  I am really sad it's time to go... :(

BUT,  rest assured that I have made more than a few orders, and have a TON of new CSS goodies waiting to be inked up, so you will be seeing lots of other projects coming your way!  And let's not forget the reason for today's post!  We were asked to create a project based on our favorite season, and incase you haven't guessed, mine is Winter...

I used a bunch of Collection 5 goodies along with some older sets.  From Collection 5, I used Ragdoll Coats 1, Ragdoll Scenes 1, the Cloud Combo and the Imprint 3 impression plate.  I also used Ragdoll Carlie: Hello, the banner from Ragdoll: Wesley Banner, and the snowman and sentiment from Cart Pals: Occasions.

Autumn Harvest {Clear & Simple Stamps} - CFC #76 &YCU#15 Challenge

Oh my goodness... can you believe that Halloween is in a few short days?  And Christmas is in a few short weeks?  What happened to 2012?  It is so hard to lose track of time and season here in Florida... It is still in the high 80's here.  While that may seem heavenly to some of you, I am dreaming of sweaters, jeans, and pumpkin patches.  We don't have those here... just parking lots with pumpkin tents.  It's just not the same...

While I can't control the lack of pumpkin patches here, I can make my own out of paper *wink*

I pulled out some new Clear and Simple Stamps, along with some old favorites and ended up with this card. I used my new Fence Combo to create a weathered picket fence using the woodgrain image from Background Basics 1.  The pumpkin/gourd pile and sentiment are from Cart Pals: Occasions.  I am sure you recognize my favorite little owl from Taglines: Critters, and the fun fluffy clouds are from the new Cloud Combo.

I made this card with the current Young Crafters Unite Challenge in mind... #15 - Warm & Cozy Colors

and will also be entering it into the CAS-ual Friday Challenge #76 - Kraft On

That's all for now... Thanks for stopping by! :)

Clear & Simple Stamps Group Post & App Peek!

It's Group Post day over at Clear and Simple Stamps, and I get to join in!  I am still floating on Cloud 9!
For this project, were were challenged to make a cutely packaged halloween party invitation or goodie.  While browsing the halloween aisles, I came across these giant chocolate chip cookies in festive tins.  They are cute on their own, but I thought they needed a little dressing up.  It is halloween after all *wink*

Of course, I had to pull out some of my Ragdolls (surprised, right?)...

I have the Ragdoll Scenes 1 stamp set, and there is a cute little broom... After a bit of brainstorming, Emma the witch was born.  I needed a witch hat, and thank goodness, I have a husband who is a wonderfully talented artist.  I had a witch hat within seconds. LOL!  Emma is standing on a Tags 1 diecut which I embossed with the sunburst side of the new Imprints 3 plate and then sponged with distress ink.  Those adorable polkadot clouds are from the new Cloudy Days stamp set.  The little treats sign is from the Ragdoll: Shop set, and it is tied all together in a glassine bag with some yummy ribbon and Orange/Black/White twine.

Be sure to hop around and check out the rest of the design team's blog... TONS of inspiration! :)
And finally, I have a project on the CSS iphone App today!  Click on the link below to be taken to the App page.  You can only see the full project there, but here is a sneak peek! :)
I will also be entering this project in the ColourQ #160 Challenge!

Owl Treat Box & Mini Card {Clear & Simple Stamps}

The first part of my Clear & Simple Stamps order arrived and I could not wait to dig in! Since my friend Elena kept teasing me with the Build-a-Critter Owl dies, I decided it was time to order my own, and I just LOVE them. SO fun! :)   Using the Party Favor 5 die, I created a treat box. I cut a window in the front of the box using the Shapes: Hearts dies and a pieces of clear acetate. The owl belly is stamped with From An Anonymous Source watermarking ink using the Background Basics 1 set. The matching tag and mini card uses bits and pieces from the Taglines: Critters set (another favorite of mine!)

Here is a side view:

And my little Owl Ensemble :)

I have a feeling you will be seeing ALOT of this owl around here! *wink*
Hope you have a great day!  Thanks for stopping by! :)

Clear & Simple Stamps - Collection 5 Recap

Hey there!!  Happy Tuesday!  I am still hanging out with the Clear and Simple Stamps Design Team and today we are recapping the Collection 5 release.  Let me tell you, if you haven't checked it out, you NEED to!  There are so many fun new products and I love them all (I may or may not have placed 2 orders already and have a 3rd one brewing... *wink*)

With all of the new goodies, it is so hard to pick a favorite, but for me, it's definately the new Ragdoll sets.  There is everything from a fall/winter wardrobe, to pirates, to super heroes!  For my card today, I used the Ragolls Scene 1 and Coats 1 again.  I did a fun technique called the blackboard technique where you stamp your images in white ink onto black cardstock and then color them in with colored pencils.  It really does look like chalk on a chalkboard in real life! So fun!  The sentiment is a combination of stamps from Ragdoll Jake Cool, and Ragdoll Emma Happy and the chalkboard frame is the woodgrain stamp from Background Basics 1.

Now that I have shared my favorites with you, hop around to all of the other designer's blogs to check out their favorite bits and pieces from this awesome release (and then go shopping)! :)

And when you stop by the CSS Blog, be sure to wish Nicki a Happy Birthday!  :)

Happy Birthday Nicki!  I hope you have a super special day filled with lots of presents, cake and all of the wonderful things you deserve! :)

Clear & Simple Stamps - Collection 5 - Ragdolls

Oh.My.Goodness.  Can someone please pinch me!?!  I am over the moon excited to share with you that I have been asked to guest design for Clear and Simple Stamps during their Collection 5 release going on right now!  I get to work with some of my very favorite CSS Stamps, the Ragdolls!

You may recognize these adorable little ladies and gents from the Collection 4 release.  This release, CSS is adding to the Ragdoll line with so many super cute sets to add even more versatility to these little dolls.  For my ensemble, I chose to work with Ragdoll Coats 1 and Ragdoll Scenes 1.  You can see those, and the rest of the new Ragdoll goodies (which are available for purchase NOW) in the CSS Store.

Let's get started!!  I have tons of pictures to share with you!  I created a little ensemble including an Apple Cider Kit, some packaged cookies and a matching card.  I used Ragdoll Emma: Happy.  You may remember that she is wearing a dress in that set, but doesn't she look fabulous in her new fall attire?  In order to change Emma's clothes, I needed to do a little masking.  First, I stamped the argyle coat from Coats 1, then I masked it off, and carefully stamped only the ragdoll head.  When you remove the mask, you have a wardrobe change! *wink*

I used several bits and pieces from the new Scenes 1 set including the giant apple, ground with leaves, and the little wooden table. I created a tag using the Tags 1 dies.

You may recognize the tiny little coffee mug sitting on the table... that is from the Ragdoll: Shop set.

One of the things that I love most about these sets is that you can use the images with or without the dolls.  You can see that I used the giant apple from the Scenes 1 set to decorate the top of the tin.

I used the apple again for the cookie pillowbox.  The clear pillowboxes are also available in the store.

And you can't give a gift without a card!  I used all of the same sets on the card, and also pulled out my Ragdoll Carlie: Hello set for the sentiment.

I just love bringing these little people to life! :)  I hope you enjoyed my projects as much as I enjoyed creating them!!  Click the links below to be inspired by the other DT members as they share their Ragdoll creations with you! :)
