Blank Canvas {Paper Smooches}

Hello there!  Today, I have a card to share for the Paper Smooches Anything Goes January Challenge!

To create my card, I started off by stamping paint strokes from the Positive Strokes Two stamp set in three different colors of Distress inks - Picked Raspberry, Blueprint Sketch and Cracked Pistachio - onto Distress watercolor paper.  I added a spattering of clean clear water to bleach out some areas, then added some white spatter using watered down white acrylic paint. I added some wonky stitches to the edges to the panel. Then I stamped and colored the easel  image from the I Heart Art stamp set, and on it, added a sentiment from the Spreading Sunshine sentiment set.  I stamped the paint brush and a paint tube from I Heart Art, colored them with copic markers, and fussy cut them, along with the easel.  I adhered the paint brush down flat with a glue pen and popped the easel and paint tube up with foam tape.  Then, to finish things off, I added a trio of fuchsia iridescent sequins, and popped the panel up on an A2 sized card  base with foam tape.

Fusion Card Challenge {Reverse Confetti}

Hello there!  I have a card to share with you for the current Fusion challenge - Coffee and a Book!  I pulled out some older Reverse Confetti favorites and used the theme and the sketch from the challenge for my card.

I pulled out my $5 Artist Loft watercolors from Michaels and painted a background, then when it was dry, I splattered some black watercolor to make it look more artsy.  I diecut the Big Stripes Tag Layer Confetti Cuts from Premier Polar White cardstock, and glued it to the background flat with a glue pen.  Then, I stamped one of the coffee mugs from Just Brew It in Midnight ink, and added coffee into the cup with sand ink, then diecut it with the coordinating Just Brew It Confetti Cuts dies.  To follow the sketch, I need a horizontal element at the bottom of my focal point, so I diecut the row of hearts from the Love Note Confetti Cuts die set in some Iced Aqua cardstock, and popped that up underneath the cup.

To finish things off, I added some steam to my coffee with a scattering of sequins. :)

Color Throwdown #475 {Reverse Confetti}

Hello there!  Today, I have a card to share with you for the current Color Throwdown challenge - #475!  It's a gorgeous combo!!  I pulled out the adorable Reverse Confetti dragon to color for day 1 of Kathy Rac's 30 Day Coloring Challenge, and had to turn him into a card!

As soon as I saw this color combination, the Warm Heart paper pad from Reverse Confetti came to mind.  It's one of my favorite paper pads, and it pushes me to use blues and purples which are colors that I don't normally gravitate towards.  I started out with a Grape Soda card base, then I layered two patterns from the Warm Hearts paper collection on top.  I stamped and colored the dragon from the adorable Magical Day stamp set, then I fussy cut him out. I popped him up with foam tape, then added a speech bubble from the Figure of Speech stamp set, which I stamped in Grape Soda ink and die cut with the coordinating Figure of Speech Confetti Cuts.

You make me happy

To finish things off, I added a scattering of stars that are also included in the Magical Day stamp set, and a handful of iridescent sequins.  There is something extra magical about stars and sequins for me :)

You make me happy

That's all for me today!

Thanks so much for dropping by! :)

Reverse Confetti January Blog Hop!

Hello there!  It's Reverse Confetti Blog Hop day, and that means that all of the new goodies that we have been showcasing over the last few days are now available for purchase in the Reverse Confetti store and at all of your favorite retailers!

I have one more card to share with you today using the new Kindness Cards stamp set and coordinating Kindness Cards Confetti Cuts dies.

To create my card, I started off by adhering some of the new Forever My Love patterned paper to an A2 card base.  I used the rectangle die in the Kindness Cards Confetti Cuts die set to cut two rectangles, one from white cardstock and the other from another piece of Forever My Love patterned paper.  On the patterned piece, I stamped a sentiment from the Kindness Cards stamp set in Blueberry ink.  On a piece of Premier Polar White cardstock, I stamped three of the larger words from the set in Blueberry ink, and diecut them with the coordinating Kindness Cards Confetti Cuts die set.  I stamped the heart from the set in some Magenta ink, and popped those up with some foam tape.  Before adhering the focal point to the card, I added a strip of magenta patterned paper from the previously released Cheerful and Kind patterned paper.  To finish things off, I added a scattering of hot pink sequins.

Kindness Card 1

I love mixing and matching patterned papers from all of the Reverse Confetti paper pads.  It really opens up so many possibilities that way! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by! :)

Countdown to Confetti Day 3

Hello there!  Welcome to day 3 of the Countdown to Confetti at Reverse Confetti!  All of the new products that you will see over the next few days will be available in the Reverse Confetti store and at all of your favorite retailers on January 8th!

Today, I have a card to share with you featuring the new Something Wonderful stamp set.  This set features a beautiful floral silhouette and several sentiments in a gorgeous font!

To create my card, I started off with a horizontal A2 card base cut from Premier Polar White cardstock.  On top of that I diecut another layer using the Leaf Lattice Cover Panel Confetti Cuts.  To ground my focal point, and allow for a place to stamp my sentiment, I diecut the second largest die from the Pierced Round Top Layers Confetti Cuts die set.  I added a strip of the new Forever my Love patterned paper to the bottom of the Pierced Round Top layer.  I stamped the floral image from the Something Wonderful stamp set in Midnight ink, then diecut it with the coordinating Something Wonderful Confetti Cuts dies.  I added color and shading over top of the black ink using colored pencils.  I just love the depth and dimension it gives!  I popped that up on the panel with foam tape, but before doing so,  I stamped a sentiment on the right side of the panel.  Then I popped the layer on top of the card base with foam tape, and added some white gel pen accents and white Nuvo Drops to the floral image to finish my card.

Something Wonderful 1

I love adding color and shading to solid stamped images using my copic markers and colored pencils.  It gives the image a more dimensional look  and is easier than having to mask off parts of the image to use multiple ink colors.

Something Wonderful 2

That's all for me today!  But be sure to hop along to see what the Confetti Crew have to share with you today!  Stop back by tomorrow for a peek at more of the new release!! :)

And, ‘Fetti Friends...
