Monster Birthday Ensemble on the Lawn Fawn blog today!

Hello there!!  Today, I am so excited to be sharing another project on the Lawn Fawn blog!  I made this little birthday ensemble for my husband's birthday earlier this week.  I think the Monster Mash monsters are some of my most favorite Lawn Fawn images!  They are so fun to color, and just absolutely adorable!

 

To create my card, I started off by watercoloring a piece of Tim Holtz Distress watercolor paper with my Artist's Loft watercolor pans from Michaels.  When it was dry, I diecut the panel with the Small Stitched Rectangles Stackables dies.  I added a strip of Let's Polka in the Dark 6x6 patterned paper to the bottom to ground the monsters, then I stamped colored and diecut images from the Monster Mash and Party Animal stamp sets.  I curved a sentiment from Party Animal on my block and stamped it at the top of the panel, and then adhered my monsters and balloons with foam tape,  Everything else was adhered using a glue pen.  I stamped some birthday confetti from the Party Animal stamp set using Lobster and Fish Tank inks, and added a few iridescent sequins from Pretty Pink Posh, and then adhered the panel to a red card base.

For the matching tag, I used images from the same two stamp sets.  I diecut more of the paper that I watercolored using the Tag You're It die, after I stamped the coordinating frame from Winter Gifts.  I finished it off with some Peppermint Lawn Trimmings.

Today, I have a card to share with you using PTI's Doodlie Do (again!).  I just got my PTI order which contained the matching dies, so of course, I had to use them right away!  I also used the new Scribbled Circles stamp set to stamp the lines on the Limitless Layers diecut.  I can't wait to play with that set some more... so fun, and a great compliment to Doodlie Do!

Happy World Card Making day to my fellow papercrafters!  I couldn't let the day go by without sharing a card with you!  This is one of the cards that I recently submitted to a submission call for Paper Crafts Magazine.  Sadly, this one didn't make the cut, but one of mine did!  YAY! :)  Look for my in the Card Creations, Volume 11 issue due out in the spring!

For this card, I used a bunch of Paper Smooches stamps including Halloweenies, Forest Whimsy and Sunny Side Up.  The grass is from a PTI set called Love Lives Here.

For my card, I pulled out one of my very favorite Paper Smooches sets, Hang Ups (which also happened to be my very first of many PS sets), along with Falling for You.

What's the Buzz? {Clear and Simple Stamps}

Hello there! Hope you are having a wonderful Sunday! We are preparing for Hurricane Isaac here in Florida. Doesn't look like it will hit us directly, but we sure will feel it with the wind and rain expected. While I still have electricity (*wink*) I wanted to share a card with you that I made a week or so ago. I used Clear and Simple Stamps Critters: Taglines, Background Basics I, and bits and pieces of a few of the Ragdoll: Carlie Hello set to make the sentiment. Two Pups in the Tub {Deasy Designs}

Hi there! I have been following Deasy Designs for awhile now, and am super excited that they are taking their adorable digital stamps to the next level with their new clear stamp line. For now, the set I love most, Canine Friends, is only available in digital format. (Fingers crossed that a clear set is coming soon!) I have never really gotten into digital stamps, but I watched a few youtube videos and decided to give it a go... SO fun! :) Here is my first card using digital stamps... I added buttons for some dimension, a strip as pattern paper for flooring, and a tiny tag with some Twinery twine. It was a fun change from my normal clear stamps and ink :)

PDCC #144 & CFC #65

Hello there! Today I have a card to share that I made with two different challenges in mind. I will share all of the details of those challenges with you below. For this card, I cut a 4" x 8" piece of cardstock and scored it in half to make a 4" x 4" square card. I stamped, colored and cut out the word "Hello" from CSS' Ragdoll Carlie: Hello, and diecut clouds and a sun from PTI dies.



The color scheme is inspired by this week's Playdate Cafe Challenge #144 - Pink, Orange and Yellow.



And this week over at CAS-ual Fridays, the challenge is to make a square card - CAS Challenge #65.

You're My Favorite {Clear and Simple Stamps}

Hello there! Happy Saturday morning! :) I made this card for my sweet husband. I always tell him that he is my favorite... well, because, he is. I am blessed beyond measure. So I made this little card to give him just to let him know how much I love him, and remind him that he has my whole heart. I used the Clear and Simple Emma: Happy Combo, the CSS Heart Combo and the sentiment is from one of Papertrey Ink's Anniversary sets from several years ago. I carefully cut along Emma's arm and slipped a diecut heart underneath to make it look like she is carrying it.

Happy Birthday to You {Clear & Simple Stamps}

Hello there! Today I have a few little projects to share with you. I made gift tags and a matching card for my sister's birthday gifts. Ashley's favorite color is lime green, and her entire apartment is decorated in Damask and chartreuse, black, gray and white. If course, her presents had to be decorated the same way! :) Usually she displays my handmade cards on her kitchen island, and ya know, things had to match! :) I diecut PTI's Tag Sale #3 out of white cardstock, and then added the damask print paper from the Smokey Shadow Pattern Pack. For the sentiment, I used Clear and Simple Stamps Ragdoll Emma: HAPPY set. I LOVE that you get the solid and outline of each word. I colored the outlined word with 4 shades of Copic marker for a lime green gradient effect.



Then I made a matching card with all of the same elements. I added Ragdoll Emma in a fun green striped dress :)

From the Heart {Clear and Simple Stamps}

Hello there! My order from Clear and Simple stamps arrived, and I had to make something right away! :) Boy, oh boy... SO many cute things at CSS lately. My newest love are their Ragdolls. It was so hard to choose just a few. I knew right away that I needed Wesley... you see, he reminds me SO much of my adorable nephew Malakai, with his crazy hair. I also picked up a set that had been on my wishlist for quite some time - Cart Parts. And of course, so card is complete without a cute little orange cat. ;)



Here is Malakai (otherwise known as my little baby BFF). He is 14 months old, and one of my most favorite little people. Now do you see why I needed Wesley? ;)

Colour Q #146

Good Wednesday morning! I just love breaking out stamp sets that I have not used in awhile and inking them up. Last night, I set out to make a card to participate in the current Colour Q Challenge - #146.

PTI Make It Monday #75 - Roll the Die Challenge

Basically, we were to use a download sheet and a game die to determine what products we were to use for our project. Here was my outcome:
