Reverse Confetti May Blog Hop

It's t he 8th of the month and that means it's time for the Reverse Confetti blog hop!  The new May release is available NOW in the Reverse Confetti store and at your favorite retailers!

Today, I have a card and tag set to share with you using the new Ice Cream Social stamp set, coordinating Ice Cream Social Confetti Cuts and the new See Through Tag Confetti Cuts die.

Ice Cream Social 1

To create my card, I started off with an A2 card base cut from Ballet Slippers cardstock.  I ink blended some Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink on the top of the panel to create an ombre effect, then I splattered on some white acrylic paint.  I added a strip of Sweet Stripes patterned paper to the bottom of the panel, and framed the card with a frame using the Stitched Note & Frames Confetti Cuts die set.  I stamped and colored the bear and ice cream truck from the new Ice Cream Social stamp set and diecut them with the coordinating Ice Cream Social Confetti Cuts dies.  Before I popped them up on the panel, I stamped a few clouds from Rainy Day Fun in Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink, and outlined them with a white gel pen.  I stamped a sentiment from the set onto a diecut banner from the Flowers for Mom Confetti Cuts dies.  To finish off the card, I added a scattering of clear iridescent sequins.

Ice Cream Social 2

I created a coordinating tag using the See Through Tag Confetti Cuts die, in the same color scheme as the card.  The cute little bear and ice cream come are accompanied by a present, cake, and trio of balloons from the new Party Animals stamp set.

Ice Cream Social 3

That's all for me today,  but be sure to hop along and comment!  The rest of the Confetti Crew has lots to share with you today!!

Paper Smooches May Release Blog Hop!

Hi Hi!  I am so excited to be joining the Paper Smooches design team for this month to show off the new release!  It's time to share a sampling of the NEW Paper Smooches MAY 2019 release with you!  THREE new stamp sets and TWO new dies will be available to purchase at 10:00 AM Central time zone on May 7th.  Once they go live, you will find the new products here: www.papersmoochesstamps.com

My first card uses the new Sportsball stamp set and coordinating Sportsball Icons dies!  I used the previously released Positive Strokes Two stamp set to stamp and masculine rainbow backdrop for my card.  I used Distress Oxide inks in Chipped Sapphire, Pine Needles, Bundled Sage, Mustard Seed and Fired Brick, then I spattered on some black acrylic paint.  I stamped the basketball, baseball and football from the Sportsball stamp set and colored them with Copic markers.  I arranged them on the stamped background and adhered with a glue pen and foam tape.  For my sentiment, I diecut the word son using the new Dude Dies.  The shadow was cut from black cardstock, and the letters cut from white.  Then stamped Happy Birthday sentiment is from the new Dude Sampler stamp set.  To finish off my card, I added some white gel pen accents and a scattering of tiny wood stars from my stash.

Happy Birthday Son

My second card uses the new Daddy Yo 2 stamp set and Daddy Yo Icons dies!  To create this card, I started off with a black card  base.  I used the previously released Geo-Graphic stamp set to stamp black polka dots on a kraft cardstock panel, which I then spattered with white acrylic paint.  I used the Flaunters dies to diecut a circle to ground my scene.  Then,  I stamped and colored a trio of beer bottles from Daddy Yo 2, which I diecut and popped up with foam tape.  I added some google eyes to the center bottle along with an adorable mustache included in the set, and white heat embossed a sentiment from the set on a black cardstock strip.  To finish things off, I added a trio of stamped yellow stars, and some white gel pen accents.
