Hello there! Today, I have a card to share with you, using Reverse Confetti products, for the Inspired by All The Little Things Challenge #60. Here is the inspiration photo:
Sympathy cards are hard. So hard for so many reasons. I saw the inspiration photo and though that the softness of the color palette was perfect for a sympathy card that I need to make.
To create my card, I started off by ink blending Piggy Bank ink through the Leaf Lattice stencil onto white card stock using an ink blending tool. I concentrated the pattern in the bottom right corner, and stamped off often to keep the color soft. Following the inspiration photo, I stamped and colored images from the Rose Garden stamp set, and then diecut them with the coordinating Rose Garden Confetti Cuts. I diecut the second largest Lacy Scalloped Frames Confetti Cuts from white cardstock, then stamped a sentiment from the Forever in Our Hearts stamp set in black ink. I felt like the black sentiment stood out a little too much against the white and soft colors, so I added black watercolor splatters on the stenciled panel to tie the pieces together. I adhered the roses onto the sentiment panel with foam tape, and then mounted that to the stenciled panel using foam tape. I added the panel a white card base, and added a scattering of sequins to finish things off.
I wanted very light roses, and used the following copic markers to achieve this look:
Rose: R000, R30, R32
Leaves: G12, G20
I used a flicking motion to add the darkest color, then added my medium and blended everything out with my lightest marker.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! :)
