Countdown to Confetti - Day 1

Woohoo!  It's time for another amazing release from Reverse Confetti!  For the next few days, we will be showcasing all of the September release goodies and they will be available for purchase in the Reverse Confetti store and at your favorite retailers on September 8th!

We are starting off the countdown with my very favorite stamp set from this release, Peony.  I often struggle with florals, but this one... it's perfection!  It's large enough to carry a card, and it's detailed, but has just the right the right amount of whimsy.  I know I will be reaching for this stamp set over and over again!

To create my card, I started off with an A2 card base cut from Midnight cardstock.  On top of that, I layered the new Stitched Circles Cover Panel, also cut from Midnight cardstock.  All of the circles stayed in the panel when I cut it, which is exactly what I was hoping for!  I stamped the gorgeous Peony, and several leaf clusters, which I colored with copic markers and then added deeper shading with my Prismacolor colored pencils. Then, I diecut everything with the coordinating Peony Confetti Cuts dies. Before adhering my flower arrangement to the panel, I added a strip of black and white patterned paper from the new This & That paper pad.

Peony 1

After placing the flowers and leaves, I splattered some white acrylic pant all over the entire card front, background, flowers, patterned paper... got it all!  I wanted an artsy feel.  I added a sentiment from the new Sentimentally Yours stamp set, heat embossed in white onto a strip of black cardstock which I popped up in the top left corner of the panel.  How perfect is that sentiment?  And the font?  Swoon!

Peony 2

That's all for me today, but be sure to hop along with the rest of the Confetti Crew and comment along the way for your chance to win a Reverse Confetti gift certificate!  I hope you will stop by again tomorrow as I have another project to share with you using goodies from the new release! :)

Happy Hopping!! :)
