MFT & Friends - March 2020 Release

Hello there!  I am just thrilled to be joining my friends at My Favorite Things for their March 2020 release!  My card today uses the adorable new Caticorn stamp set and coordinating dies.  Cats, rainbows and unicorns?!  YES PLEASE! ;)

To create my card, I started of by creating a background using the Cloud Stencil and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink on a piece of white cardstock cut to 4" x 5.25".  I stamped, colored and diecut several images from the Caticorn stamp set and popped them up with foam tape on my cloud background.  A sentiment from the set was stamped ink black ink on white cardstock and diecut with the Essential Slanted Sentiment Banners (which I believe are sadly discontinued).  Before mounting the panel on an A2 card base, I added a strip of rainbow strip paper from the Sweet Celebration paper pad.  To finish off my card, I added some white gel pen accents and a scattering of tiny stamped stars, which are also part of the Caticorn stamp set.

MFT & Friends December Release

Hi there!  I am so excited to share that I am part of the MFT & Friends December 2018 Release with My Favorite Things!

My card features the new Forever and Owlways stamp set and the coordinating Forever and Owlways Die-namics along with the new Essential Slanted Sentiment Strips Die-namics.

To create my card I started off with a panel of dark blue cardstock measuring 4" x 5.25".  I used the Cloud Stencil along with some Black Soot Distress Oxide ink to create a cloudy  night sky.  Then I splattered on some metallic gold watercolor.  I stamped and colored the larger branch and the cute owl pair from the Forever and Owlways stamp set and diecut them with the coordinating Forever and Owlways Die-namics.  Then, I stamped a sentiment from the set onto dark blue cardstock and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder before diecutting it with the Essential Slanted Sentiment Strips Die-namics.  I popped everything up with foam tape, and added a few finishing touches to my card including googly eyes to the owls, white pen accents, and a scattering of tiny wooden stars from my stash.

So Happy Together

Sparkle and Shine Challenge #29 - Floral

Hello there!  It's time for another Sparkle and Shine Challenge
Here is our photo inspiration:

We are sponsored this week by our friends at Create a Smile Stamps.

For my card today, I water colored one of the Papertrey Ink Bold Blossoms Watercolor Sheets with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  When it was dry, I diecut the panel with the Avery Elle Wonky Stitches dies.  For my sentiment, I diecut a My Favorite Things die from black card stock and teal card stock.  I glued them together, slightly offset, so that the teal with show as a shadow.  I added a few accents to the diecut with a white gel pen and popped it up with foam tape.  Then I added a scattering of iridescent sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Sparkle and Shine Challenge #25

Hello there! It's time for another Sparkle and Shine Challenge!  Here is our inspiration photo for this challenge:

We are sponsored this week by our friends at Create A Smile Stamps!

Here is my card!  I started out by diecutting the Avery Elle Burst die from white cardstock.  Then I used distress inks in Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover to create a fun inked background.  I splattered some clean clear water on top, then mopped it up with a paper towel, then added some paint splatters with watered down Lucky Clover ink.  I stamped the cute little clovers from the My Favorite Things Lucky stamp set and colored them with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers before diecutting them with the coordinating dies. I stamped a sentiment from the same set in the center of the panel, popped the clovers  up on foam tape, and added a scattering of sequins.  Then I adhered some polka dot patterned paper to a green card base, popped the panel up with foam tape, and added a twine bow.

Guest Designing for My Favorite Things - Take 2

Hello there!  I am back today with another guest post with  My Favorite Things!  I love little people stamps, and MFT offers an adorable line of sweet boys and girls, Pure Innocence.  This month, there are two new additions to that line-up and I am sharing a card using one of them today!

For my card, I started off by blending some hot pink and bright orange ink across a 4" x 5.25" piece of white card stock on a diagonal.  Then, using the new Cross Stitch Squares STAX, I cut a piece of white card stock using the second largest square in the set.  I popped that up on a diagonal, with foam tape towards the top of my card.  Then, I stamped, colored and diecut the sweet little girl from the new Pure Innocence Heartstings stamp set.  I popped her up on the cross stitch square using foam tape, and then used a Copic Multiliner to hand-doodle lines around the perimeter of the panel as well as around the perimeter of the square.  I stamped a sentiment, also from Heartstings, on the bottom of the panel under the focal point, and then popped that entire panel  up on an A2 card base.

Heart Springs

I want to thank MFT for the opportunity to guest design with them!  I had SO much fun creating with these awesome new products and I can't wait to add some more newly released goodies to my stash! :)

Guest Designing for My Favorite Things

Hello there!  Today I have some fun news that I am so excited to share!  I was asked to guest design with My Favorite Things during the month of May!  As usual, this release is jam-packed with a variety of awesome goodies!  Today, I am sharing a card that I made with the new Green Pastures stamp set and Die-namics, by Birdie Brown, along with the new Grassy Fields Die-namics, which is FREE with a $60 purchase this month!

Aw. Shucks.

I started off by stamping a patterned background on Kraft cardstock using the Sweater Stitch Background with Versamark ink.  Then I sponged the sky and grass and diecut the grass using the Grassy Fields Die-namics.  On a Green Pastures diecut, I stamped colored, and paper pieced the adorable little farm girl... I just love her plaid flannel shirt and red wellies!!  I popped her up using foam tape, being sure to tuck her toes behind the grass.  I stamped a sentiment from the same set along the bottom of that panel.

Be sure to visit the MFT store to see the full release... I can't wait to get my hands on this little lady's whole herd of farm animals!!

Thanks so much for stopping by! :)

My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge #211 and Curtain Call Challenge

Hi there! Today I have a card to share with you that I am entering into two challenges.  I used this sketch:

And I was inspired by the theme and colors in this photo:

I'm also linking to the current ColourQ challenge:

I first diecut a piece of Rustic Cream cardstock using the Femme Frames dies from Mama Elephant, then I stamped the MFT Sweater Stitch Background in PTI Fine Linen Ink.  I diecut a circle from that panel and put some Lawn Fawn Sweater Weather patterned paper behind it.  Then I stamped, colored and diecut those adorable kitties and milk bottle from the Mama Elephant Purrfect Pair stamps set.  The sentiment is also from that set, and it is stamped on the ME Bold Banner diecut.  I used foam squares to adhere panel to a Fine Linen scalloped diecut also from the Femme frames die set.  Then I diecut some tiny hearts using the SSS Mini Hearts dies and added a bow with some twine. The entire panel is mounted on a kraft card base.

A moment with you
