PTI March Blog Hop - High Gloss

Hi there!  So sorry it's been quiet here... My boys and husband were all on break last week, and we stayed pretty busy!  I jumped at the chance to get back in my craft room yesterday though, and made a card for the PTI March Blog Hop.

I embossed Circle Scribbles on some Raspberry Fizz cardstock using clear embossing powder.  The paint brushes from Friendship Jar Fillers are stamped on the new Journal Card 2 diecut.  I splattered some watered down Picked Raspberry Distress Ink on the panel, and added some gloss to the paint brushes using Glossy Accents.

Art from the Heart

Here you can see a better picture of the gloss both on the background and the paint brushes.

I can't wait to see what others created for this fun challenge! :)

Lawnscaping Challenge #78 - Clean and Simple

Hello there!  Happy St. Patrick's Day!  The Lawnscaping girls are celebrating with a new challenge!

Challenge #78 is a Clean and Simple Challenge!
It is sponsored by the fabulous Lawn Fawn gang!

I struggle with CAS.  I always want to add more.  More layers, more bling, more stuff.  These sorts of challenges really ARE a challenge for me!

I used the Science of Love Stamp set for this mini card. The images are colored with Copic markers, and I added a hand drawn border with a Copic Multiliner.  I added a tiny bit of bling with my Wink of Stella clear pen.

Great Chemistry

Be sure to check out the blog for more inspiration from the design team, and to grab all of the challenge details!  I hope you'll join us for your chance at a fabulous prize!

PTI Make-it-Monday #155 - Confetti

Hi there!

I absolutely LOVE this week's Make It Monday Challenge over at Papertrey Ink.  Danielle shared an adorable project, and I could wait to dig through my die stash to see what I could make confetti out of! :)

I used a bunch of different PTI Star dies and several shades of aqua and purple card stock.

So fun!

I stuck a bunch of the stars to a piece of clear packing tape and came up with this:

Star Confetti

I am hoping to have some more time to experiment with confetti making before the challenge closes... I know I will be using this idea in the future for fun gift packaging! :)

Supplies (all PTI unless noted):
Stamps: Star Gazer Additions
Paper: Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores, Lavender Moon, Plum Pudding, Royal Velvet, Hawaiian Shores PP , Aqua Mist PP, Royal Velvet PP
Dies: Tipped Tops, Seeing Stars, Star Gazer Die collection
Other: Clear packing tape, Foam Tape

Happy For You {Papertrey Ink}

Good Morning!  How is it Wednesday already?!

Today, I have a card to share with you using PTI's Doodlie Do (again!).  I just got my PTI order which contained the matching dies, so of course, I had to use them right away!  I also used the new Scribbled Circles stamp set to stamp the lines on the Limitless Layers diecut.  I can't wait to play with that set some more... so fun, and a great compliment to Doodlie Do!

PTI Make-It-Monday #154 - One Layer Strawberries

Good Morning!  This week's Make-it-Monday over at Papertrey ink is all about one layer cards.  Nearly all of  my cards use layers or dimension some how, so this was really a challenge for me.  I have been wanting to pull out my Strawberry Patch stamp set since the design team revisited it the other day on the blog.

To make this card, I first cut a piece of A2 Rustic Cream cardstock, then masked off the center using a post-it note.  With the mask in place, I stamped some Scribbed Circles using Fine Linen and Ripe Avocado ink (I stamped off once, then stamped on the card front for a more muted color).  Then I removed the mask, and masked the reverse to cover the pattern that I created.  I stamped the strawberry image in the open area and then removed the mask.  After coloring, I added small dots here and there in the patterned area and then stamped the sentiment, allowing the tails of the sentiment to overlap onto the border.  I still felt that something was missing, so I took the little curly vine image and stamped it a few places part way onto the patterned border.  Finally, I added some Wink of Stella glitter pen to the flowers on the image.  The layering of several stamp sets really does add dimension!

Love you Berry Much

Paper Smooches Sparks - Anything Goes!

Hello there!  Happy Tuesday!

I am still enjoying my new Paper Smooches Spectrum stamp set.  I just love this rainbow image...  I LOVED Rainbow Bright as a child!  This card is pretty clean and simple compared to my usual style, but I think this image deserves all of the attention.  The clouds are popped up on foam squares, and glittered with my Wink of Stella pen.  The sentiment is from the Word Salad stamp set.

You Color My World

I will be playing along with the Paper Smooches SPARKS Anything Goes challenge this week! :)

Lawnscaping Challenge #77 - Bling it!

Hi there!  Happy Monday!  It's time for another Lawnscaping Challenge!
Challenge #77 is all about bling!  We want you to add sparkle and shine to your projects this week!

Challenge #77 is sponsored by Simon Says Stamp!

For my card today, I was itching to ink up my new Critters in the Past stamp set!  Who says dinosaurs are only for boys?!  I happen to think that pink, glittered dinos are so much cuter than the boy version ;)  The striped pattern paper is from the new Let's Polka Petite Paper Pad.

Girly Dinosaurs

You can see better in this picture that I used my clear Wink of Stella pen to add some glitter to the scales, I rhinestoned both of the dino's bums, and added some sequins for good measure!
