Winter Penguins

Every once in awhile, I will make something that just makes me SO excited. That happened to me today. With the holidays right around the corner, and Christmas just about a month away, I am Christmas crafting. Do you ever feel that you need just *one more* little gift to be able to check someone off of your list? I feel that way every year with the boys' teachers. If you have read my blog before, it is no secret that I adore Target, and even more, the Target Dollar Spot. SO many wonderful little treasures there! :) The other day, I found these adorable little clear paint buckets in a variety of colors and picked up a bunch. Then wandering about the Christmas department, came across these ADORABLE penguin ornaments. I remembered my new PTI Winter Penguin Stamp set, and had a lightbulb moment. I picked up some fake snow at Target too - a huge bag for $2! I will be adding these little guys to the boys' teachers gifts this year. I am so pleased with how they turned out and they were so easy to put together.

A close up of the Tag:

Paper Smooches Guest Designer - Week #2

Hey there!
I am back today with 2 super fun cards using some stamp sets from Paper Smooches November release! :)

The first one uses the fishing pole and sentiment from My Guy, the monster from Falling For You, clouds from Spiffy Scooters, and the waves and fish from Surf & Turf. One of the best things about PS stamps is their versatility. They all work SO well together. So much bang for your buck!

The second is a smaller card (4"x4" square), and sometimes a smaller canvas can be refreshing. This card uses the car from My Guy, the peacock, sentiment and music notes from My Peeps, and also a sentiment from Swanky Snowdudes. I also used some glossy accents to give those wheels some shine! ;)

And just as a reminder, there is still plenty of time to participate in the current Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge! Deadline is 11:59PM PST on 11/16. You can find out more information, and see all of the great entries here! Hope you will join us! :)

Trick or Treat!

Another holiday down... and less than 2 months until Christmas... where did this year go?!?!

Thankfully the rain stopped in time for us to go trick-or-treating last night... This year it seemed like costumes were SO expensive! $25 each something they will wear for 2 hours?! I think not. When we were kids, our costumes were always homemade or handmade (thanks Mom!) and it's more fun that way! Time for me to put my papercrafting skills to work... not with cardstock and ribbon, but with cardboard and string! Here is Joshua, our very blue LEGO :)

And Logan wanted to be a solider. Well, it just so happens that his dad was a Marine, and with one trip to the closet, we have Cammies, dogtags, backpacks, hats and war paint! Here he is, looking so tough, and SO much like his dad in this picture! :)

And here is one last picture of my crazy pair... LOVE these guys to pieces <3
