CFC#64 - You Are My Sunshine {Clear & Simple Stamps}

Good Saturday Morning to you! I am so excited to share this card with you today. I just got *another* order from Clear and Simple Stamps filled with some goodies that have been on my wishlist for some time now... Of course, they needed to see ink right away! :)

So my friend, Laurie, has been raving about CSS' watermark ink, From an Anonymous Source. My Versamark pad is getting a bit dry, so I added this to my order, and boy is it awesome! I am so happy with the results. In order to test it out, I wanted to do a technique that I love, but rarely do - Emboss Resist. I inked up the Paisley image from Background Basics 1 using the clear ink, then heat embossed with white embossing powder. After that, I used 3 different colors of Ranger Distress Ink to create a gradient background. So fun! After that, I stamped the umbrella image from Cart Parts onto pattern paper and cut it out. I diecut some Papertrey Ink Clouds and a Sun and popped everything up on foam dots. For the sentiment, I selectively inked bits and pieces from the CSS' Wesley and Carlie Ragdolls sets to create a custom sentiment.

I made this card with the current CAS-ual Friday Challenge #64 - Cloud 9 in mind. :)

That's all for now! Hope you have a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by! :)

Turned out super cute, Audrey! I don't think I've ever done the emboss resist technique - something to put on my "must try" list.
