Countdown to Confetti - Day 1

Woohoo!  It's that time again!  The Countdown to Confetti has begun!  All of the amazing new release goodies will be available for purchase on July 8th in the Reverse Confetti Store and at your favorite retailers!  You are in for a treat this month!  Stamps and dies, something for everyone, and 16, yes SIXTEEN gorgeous new ink colors!  WHOOT!

Today, I am sharing my favorite card that I made with the new goodies!  I will be completely honest and say that flowers can be hard for me, and so, I usually am not drawn to floral images, but the new Build A Bunch stamp set has knocked my socks off!  A set full of awesome, not too detailed, but detailed enough flowers that I can color?!?  YES PLEASE!  The possibilities are endless with this one, and can we talk for a second about that amazing font?!  That is our new Sentiments Essentials stamp set!  It has coordinating dies, too!  I've also used five of the new ink colors on my card.

To create my card, I started off by cutting a panel of the new Premier Polar White cardstock measuring 4" x 5.25".  I used my MISTI and the previously released Elemental Stripes stamp set to stamp scallops on the panel.  I started about  half way down the panel, and stamped five 6 rows, leaving a bit of white space at the bottom.  I used five of my favorite new ink colors; Magenta, Coral, Pistachio, Mint, and Lagoon.  I stamped and colored flowers and leaves from the Build A Bunch stamp set, and diecut them with the coordinating Build  A Bunch Confetti Cuts.  I used copic markers in colors that matched the ink colors that I chose for the scalloped stripes.  I arranged the pieces of the bouquet, adhering some flat with a glue pen, and popping some up with foam tape.  For the sentiment, I stamped happy birthday from the Sentiment Essentials stamp set, and diecut it with the coordinating Sentiments Essentials Confetti Cuts, then popped it up with foam tape on the bottom left of the floral arrangement.

Build a Bunch

To finish things off, I added accents to the flowers with a white gel pen, and added a scattering of clear sequins.  I could seriously stamp and color these flowers all day long!  Gah!
