Hello there! It's the 8th of the month, and that means it's time for the Reverse Confetti Creative Hop! For my project this month, I made a set of gift tags using one of my favorite Reverse Confetti stamp sets, Stained Glass Butterflies.
To create my tags, I started out by stamped and coloring the largest butterfly from the set, three times. I laid down a base a Copic markers and then added depth and more color with Pablo colored pencils. These butteflies are so fun to color, and you can really amp up the color when you combine markers and pencils. I dieut them with the coordinating Stained Glass Butterflies Confetti Cuts and then moved on to the tag bases.
To create the tag bases, I diecut the Stitched Hex Tag Confetti Cuts from white cardstock. I stamped the polka dot stripe from the Background Builder stamp set in black ink, then used my watercolor palette to add additional paint splatters in colors that coordinate with each of the butterflies.
I used Distress Oxides in shades to match the butterflies and added a soft fade of ink around the edges of each tag. Then I added an additional layer with the row of hearts from the Hearts Confetti Cuts die set. I popped each butterfly up with foam tape, and stamped a sentiment for each using the Bitty Banners stamp set, which I diecut with the coordinating Confetti Cuts and popped them up as well.
To finish things off, I added some white gel pen accents and some black and white twine to each.
To sure to hop alone and see all of the amazing projects that the Confetti Crew has to share with you today! Thanks so much for stopping by! :)
