Lawnscaping Challenge #84 - Stars and/or Stripes

Hi there!  It's time for another Lawnscaping Challenge!
Challenge #84 is all about stars and/or stripes!

We are sponsored this week by the super fabulous Lawn Fawn!

For my card, I used some of the striped paper from the Let's Polka 6x6 paper pad and one of my new favorites, Louie's ABCs dies! Goodness, I LOVE these dies!  I pulled out my Flutter by stamp set, and stamped the one-winged butterfly twice, once perched on top of the alpha diecut, and once on a piece of scrap card stock.  I colored the wings the same, and then cut out one wing and popped it up on a slight angle  on top of the other butterfly, giving the butterfly two wings.

You can see here how much dimension that gives, and with a few sequins, a splash of glitter pen and some coral twine, it's really finished off.

White on White Thank You {Lawn Fawn}

Good Morning!  Yesterday I shared some beach themed teacher gifts with you, and today, I have the thank you card that accompanied them to share.  I was so happy with how my first card turned out that I made a few more, assembly line style.  I used Lawn Fawn's Life Is Good stamp set and dies, and the new Louie's ABCs...  Oh my goodness, I LOVE LOVE LOVE these alpha dies!!  The size is fantastic, and the font is so fun!

I wanted the palm tree and flip flops to stand out on the card, so I diecut white letters and glued them to a white card base.  The result is so awesome.  It almost looks embossed.

If you want to see the coordinating gifts that I shared yesterday, you can find them here

That's it for me today...  Thanks for stopping by! :)

Dressed up Succulents {Lawn Fawn}

Hi there!
It's our first day of summer vacation here and for the next couple of days, I will have a few end of the year gifts to share with you.  Our boys had wonderful teachers this year and they were excited to give them thank you cards and little gifts in appreciation for all that they have done this year.

Logan had two female teachers this year, and he wanted to give them plants.
I've been fascinated with succulents lately so we decided that we'd gift some to the teachers.  I wanted to dress them up a bit, so I used Lawn Fawn's new Life is Good stamp set and coordinating dies and the Puffy Star Stackables to make some little plant picks.  I had gotten tiny plastic buckets and shovels awhile back because they were too cute to resist, and I'd been saving them for the perfect project.  The little succulents fit  perfectly. :)

Here are a few closeups as well:

Lawnscaping Challenge #83 - Embossing

Hi there!
It's time for another Lawnscaping Challenge!  Challenge #83 is all about Embossing!

This week we are sponsored by Simon Says Stamp!

For my card, I used the Science of Love stamp set and dies.  I created patterned paper by drawing stripes with the broad end of my Copic markers, then I popped a white panel up with foam squares.  I stamped, colored and die cut the nerdy birds from the stamp set, and then heat embossed the sentiment on a strip of aqua cardstock.

Eyes for you

Please be sure to visit the blog for more challenge details and lots of inspiration from the rest of the design team.  We hope you'll join us for a chance to win an awesome prize!
