Sunny Studio Stamps - Heart Bouquet

Hello Friends!  I am here with one last card for 2021 featuring Sunny Studio Stamps!  Today, my card uses the Heart Bouquet stamp set, which pairs perfectly with the adorable Garden Fairies!  To create my card, I started off by watercoloring a background using Tumbled Glass Distress ink.  The panel measures 4" x 5.25". I placed the Heart Bouquet where I wanted it, and stamped it in black ink onto the panel so that I could have the balloon strings.  Then, I stamped and colored the balloons from Heart Bouquet, and diecut them with the coordinating Heart Bouquet dies.  The cute little fairy from the Garden Fairy stamp set was colored in coordinating shades of pink, and popped up as if she was holding the bunch of balloons.

Around her, I added a trio of tiny clouds diecut using the Comic Strip Everyday dies.  Before popping the panel up on an A2 card base, I added a strip of red heart paper from the Rainbow Bright 6x6 paper pad to the left edge of the card base.  To finish off my card, I added some white gel pen accents, Diamond Stickles for some sparkle, and a scattering of tiny clay hearts.

Heffy Doodle - Feel Better Soon!

Hello friends!  Today, I am here with my second post as Heffy Doodle guest designer for the month of December!  As soon as I saw the super adorableHot Air Balloon, I knew I had to have it!  This card uses also uses one of the cute little critters from the Bed Heads stamp set.  To create my card, I started off by painting a piece of watercolor paper with Salvaged Patina Distress Ink to create a sky.  I diecut all of the pieces of the balloon, using pink and coral cardstock for the main part of the balloon, teal and aqua cardstock for the accents, and woodgrain cardstock for the balloon basket.  The little bear from the Bed Heads stamp set was colored with Copic markers and fussy cut with my scissors, though if you prefer, there are coordinating Bed Heads Dies available.

Heffy Doodle

I added a trio of clouds to the sky around the balloon.  The dies that I used have a coordinating frame die, but you could achieve a very similar look with the Swirly Cloud Dies or the Big Stitched Cloud Dies, along with some gold Stickles around the edges.  A sentiment from the Bed Heads stamp set was stamped on a banner diecut and popped up near the top of the card.   I added a scattering of tiny glittery stars from my stash, and some white gel pen accents to finish off my card.

Heffy Doodle

I am so thrilled and thankful to have been asked to guest design this month!  Heffy Doodle products are so  much fun, and make creating a dream!  Thank you to Lesley and crew for having me!  Wishing you all a happy, healthy and blessed 2022!

Sunny Studio Stamps - Lacy Snowflakes

Hello friends! Happy Christmas Eve to those who celebrate!!  Today I am  here with a fun winter themed project using one of my favorite stamp sets from Sunny StudioFeeling Frosty and the Lacy Snowflake dies!  To create my card, I started off by watercoloring a piece of watercolor paper cut to 4" x 5.25" with Speckled Egg Distress Ink.  When it was dry, I splattered on some watered down white acrylic paint.  I stamped and colored one of the adorable snowmen from Feeling Frosty, along with a tree from the set, and diecut them with the coordinating Feeling Frosty dies.  I popped them up on a snow bank cut cut using the Slimline Nature Borders dies.  To add some interest to the sky, I cut three Lacy Snowflakes from white cardstock and adhered them above the snowman with a glue pen.

A sentiment from Feeling Frosty was stamped on a banner diecut and popped up near the bottom of the card.  Before mounting the panel to an A2 card base with foam tape, I added a strip of red patterned paper from the All is Bright paper pad. To finish off my card, I added a trio of tiny clay hearts and some white gel pen accents.

Sunny Studio Stamps - Icing Borders

Hello friends! Today, I have a fun card to share with you that uses the Icing Borders from Sunny Studio Stamps in a unconventional way!  To create my card, I started off with a piece of watercolor paper cut to 4" x 5.25".  I used Distress ink in Salty Ocean to watercolor an underwater background.  I diecut a piece of kraft cardstock with the Slimline Nature Borders dies, then inked the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide before splattering the entire panel with watered down white acrylic paint.  Then, I stamped and colored the adorable shark from the Sea You Soon stamp set, and diecut him with the coordinating Sea You Soon Dies.  I used images from the Best Fishes stamp set to decorate the ocean floor, and diecut them with the coordinating Best Fishes Dies.

Audrey_IcingBorders1

I popped all of the images up with foam tape, then used the Icing Borders dies cut from white cardstock to add waves all around them.  I cut them smaller to fit in the spaces around the shark.  I stamped a sentiment from the Best Fishes stamp set on a white banner and popped that up at the top of the panel, then adhered the panel to an A2 card base.  To finish off my card, I added some white gel pen accents and a scattering of tiny bubbles.

Heffy Doodle December Guest Designer!

Hello Friends!   I am thrilled to be joining the Heffy Doodle team as a guest designer for the month of December!  Today, I have a get well card to share with you using the adorable Bed Heads stamp set!  To create my card, I started off with an A2 card base.  I wanted to create a little bedroom scene for my card, and added faux shiplap to the card front using a vertical strip die set from my stash and some white cardstock.  For the flooring, I cut horizontal stripes from tan woodgrain cardstock, and then inked the edges with some Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink.  Then, I stamped  several images from the Bed Heads stamp set, which I colored with Polychromos colored pencils before fussy cutting them with my scissors.  I don't mind fussy cutting, but if you prefer, there are also coordinating Bed Heads dies available.  For some added fun, I paper pieced the little pig's bedding with a bright floral patterned paper and coordinating yellow knit pattern.

Heffy Doodle Speedy Recovery

I arranged the elements in my scene how I wanted them, and adhered some flat with a glue pen and added foam tape to others for some extra dimension.  The little picture frame on the wall holds a tiny clay heart.  I stamped a sentiment from the Bed Heads stamp set on a diecut banner and popped that up above the sickly little pig's head.  To finish off my card, I added some white gel pen accents to all of the images.

Reverse Confetti December Creative Hop!

Hello there!  It's the 8th of the month, and that means it's time for the Reverse Confetti Creative Hop!  For my card today, I did one of my favorite techniques - colored pencil on kraft cardstock!

To create my card, I started off with a piece of kraft cardstock cut to 4" x 5.25".  I masked off the top 2/3 of the panel, and added a blue background using Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink and splattered the background with white acrylic paint.  Then I reversed the mask and added white pigment ink to the bottom of the panel.  I stamped a few of the images from the adorable Polar Party stamp set, and colored them with my Polychromos colored pencils before diecutting them with the coordinating Polar Party Confetti Cuts dies.

RC December Blog Hop

I popped the images up with foam tape, and stamped a few of the snowflakes from the set above the critters.  Under then, I stamped a sentiment from the Sparkle & Shine Sentiments stamp set.  Before popping the panel up on an A2 card base, I added a strip of polka dot paper from the Winter Solstice paper pad.  To finish off my card, I added white gel pen accents.

Now to share my card with you!  I am a crazy bird lady, and when I saw the gorgeous Winter Birds stamp set, I fell in love!  Cardinals are my favorite, so of course, he is the star of the show!  To create my card, I started off with a piece of dark teal cardstock cut to 4" x 5.25".  I inked the edges with Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks, then added splatters of clean clear water and white acrylic paint.  I used a snowflake stencil from my stash, but NND has some beautiful snowflake stencils you could use!  I stamped and colored the cardinal, branch and berries and fussy cut them with my scissors.  If you prefer, there are coordinating Winter Birds dies, too.  To tie in the red, I added a strip of red gingham paper from the Meowy Christmas paper pad to the bottom of the panel.  I adhered the brand down with glue pen, and popped the cardinal up with foam tape.

A sentiment from the set was heat embossed in white embossing powder, along with a scattering of snowflakes from the set.  I added snow to the branch using Tim Holtz Snowfall texture paste, and some glitter and dimension to the berries using Stickles in Christmas Red.  Finally, I added some white gel pen accents, and popped the panel up on an A2 dark teal card base.

Sunny Studio Stamps - Bear Hugs

Hello Friends! I am here  today with some Sunny Studio Stamps Bear Hugs for you!  To create my card, I pulled out the Very Merry paper pad.  I love the preprinted backgrounds that are part of this collection!  I chose the night sky background, and trimmed it down to 4" x 5.25".  I stamped and colored the sleeping polar bear and the floating ice image from Bear Hugs and diecut them with the coordinating Bear Hugs dies

SS_BearHugs1

I wanted a large sentiment to break up the moon image, so I pulled out the Thank You Words dies and diecut "thanks" from set and cut it twice from white cardstock and once from navy cardstock.  I stacked them together for dimension.  I also stamped a smaller sentiment from the Bear Hugs stamp set onto a banner diecut and popped that up underneath.  To add more interest to the sky, I diecut a trio of the Lacy Snowflakes and placed them around the sentiment.  To finish off the card panel, I added white gel pen accents, Frosted Lace Stickles to the iceberg, and a scattering of clear confetti.

Newton's Nook Guest Feature

Hello there!  I am so excited to be a Newton's Nook Designs guest designer for "Deck the Halls with Inky Paws" week!  I'm here with a fun Christmas card to share with you featuring the adorable Dear Santa stamp set!  To create my card, I started off with a piece of white cardstock cut to 4" x 5.25".  I masked off the bottom 1/3 of the panel and used the Cascading Stars Stencil with some Festive Berries Distress Oxide ink to add a star pattern to the top of the panel.  Then, I stamped and colored one of the Santas and a few presents from the Dear Santa stamp set and fussy cut them out with scissors.  I popped everything up with foam tape using the masked off area to ground the scene.

 Newton's Nook Santa

To the left of Santa, I stamped a sentiment from the set in black ink, and used my Gansai Tambi Starry Colors watercolors to add gold to part of the sentiment.  To add a bit more gold, I diecut some stars from gold glitter paper using a die from my stash and glued them over a few of the stars in the background.  Before popping the panel up on an A2 card base, I added a strip of striped paper from the Meowy Christmas paper pad to the left edge of the card base.  To finish off my card, I added some white gel pen accents to the images.

Sunny Studio Stamps - Snow One Like You

Hello friends! Today, I am here with a fun card to share with you using the Snow One Like You stamp set from Sunny Studio Stamps!  To create my card, I started off by adding a piece of pink cable knit patterned paper from the  Sweater Weather 6x6 paper pad to an A2 card base.  For the focal point, I started by adding white Lacy Snowflakes to a piece of white cardstock to serve as the background for my scene.  I created a frame with two rectangle dies from the Stitched Rectangles dies, and used the Slimline Nature Borders dies to cut a hill from the smaller rectangle which I then inked with Salvaged Patina Distress ink.

Snow One Like You

Then, I stamped and colored the adorable image from the Snow One Like You stamp set, and diecut it with the coordinating dies.  I popped it up on the background I created, and stamped the sentiment from the set under the image.  I glued the focal point frame to the card base, and added some white gel pen accents, black glaze pen to the snowman's eyes, Frosted Lace Stickles and a trio of tiny clay hearts to finish off my card.

Sunny Studio Stamps - Pristine Poinsettia & Winter Greenery

Hello friends!  I am  here to share a project with you today using the Pristine Poinsettia dies and the Wintery Greenery dies from Sunny Studio Stamps!  To create my card, I started off with a piece of white cardstock cut to 4" x 5.25".  I splattered on some Brushed Pewter Distress Mica Spray from Tim Holtz.  At the bottom of the panel, I added a strip of wood grain paper from the Subtle Grey Tones 6x6 paper pad, and bordered that with a skinny strip of silver glitter paper to bring out the shine in the mica spray splatters.  To construct my Pristine Poinsettia, I cut the layers from light pink, medium red and burgundy cardstock and inked the edges of each in either Worn Lipstick, Festive Berries or Aged Mahogany Distress Oxide inks.  Then, I splattered on some of the same inks, and some watered down white acrylic paint.  I glued each of the petal layers together with a glue pen, and added foam tape between each layer of petals for some dimension.

Sunny Studio Poinsettia

For the leaves, I cut the bigger holly leaves from the Wintery Greenery die set from light green cardstock, and inked the edges with Peeled Paint Distress Oxide.  I splattered on some Rustic Wilderness Oxide and white acrylic paint.  The smaller leaves were diecut from darker green cardstock and inked with Rustic Wilderness Oxide.  I glued the poinsettia down just in the center, tucked the leaves behind it and glued them down with a glue pen once I was happy with the arrangements. I stamped a sentiment from the Holiday Express stamp set on a white banner, and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder.  To finish off the card, I added a scattering of clear sequins before popping the panel up on an A2 white card base.

Sunny Studio Stamps - Gingerbread House

Hello friends!  I am here today with some sweet holiday wishes!  I used the new Gingerbread House die from Sunny Studio Stamps to make a shaped card!  This die is a large size and nearly fills an A2 card front.  It's perfect for creating shaped cards.  I started off by diecutting two of the largest house dies from medium  brown cardstock, along with all of the windows, the door, and the roof.  I used Vintage Photo Distress Oxide to ink the edges of each piece for more contrast.  Then, I cut the window, door and roof trim from white cardstock, and the body of the house from light pink cardstock.  If you have followed me for any length of time a pink gingerbread house should not surprise you at all! ;)  The edges of the main part of the house were inked with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide.  Then, I diecut one of the Icing Borders from white cardstock glued that near the bottom of the house. I adhered all of the other pieces with liquid glue, and added Diamond Stickles to nearly everything.  LOL!  I forgot that ink will make the Stickles change color slightly, and that is why my roof looks a bit gold.  I think it is a fun contrast to the white.

Sunny Studio Gingerbread House

Next, I stamped the two gingerbread from the Christmas Cookies stamp set in brown ink and colored them with Copic markers.  They were diecut with the coordinating Christmas Cookies dies.  The brown ink makes they look a but like I did no-line coloring.  I added their little faces back ink with a brown pen, and enhanced their icing stripes with a white gel pen, then popped them up with foam tape.  I adhered the front of the house to a second house diecut that I scored about 1/2" front the top so the card would open properly.  Finally, I added white gel pen accents to the rest of the card, and a few tiny clay hearts to finish off my card.

RC Polar Fun

I glued the lighted garland down with a glue pen, and popped the bear and tree up with foam tape.  The sentiment is from the free gift with $60 purchase, Snowy Sentiments.  I filled in the area around my scene with a scattering of stamped snowflakes from the Polar Party stamp set, and added some Diamond Stickles to the lights and tree.  Before I mounted the panel to an A2 card base, I trimmed about 1/4 inch off of the bottom and added a snippet of coordinating striped paper.

RC Polar Fun

My second card features the new Adore Him stamp set.  I have been wishing for a Reverse Confetti Nativity set, and I am so thrilled with this one!  To create this card, I started off with the new Brilliance Cover Panel cut from white cardstock.  I ink blended the background with Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks.  Then, I splattered the paper with water and gold metallic watercolor.  I stamped and colored images from the Adore Him stamp set, and diecut them with the coordinating Adore Him Confetti Cuts.

RC Adore Him

To ground the images, I tore a piece of kraft cardstock, then inked the edge with Vintage Photo Distress and splattered it with Vintage Photo and white watered down paint.  I popped everything up with foam tape.  The sentiment is gold heat embossed on dark blue cardstock.  To finish off my card, I added white gel pen accents and some gold gems.
