Reverse Confetti July Blog Hop

Hello there! It's release day at Reverse Confetti! All of the new July goodies are now available at Reverse Confetti and at your favorite retailers!

My card today uses the new Happy Mail stamp set! To create my card, I started with an A2 card base. On top of that, I layered the Stitched Rays Cover Panel cut from white cardstock. I added a polka dot frame using the new Sun & Sea 6x6 paper pad and the largest of the Scalloped Squares Confetti Cuts dies. I stamped the largest cluster from the Happy Mail stamp set twice and colored it with Copic Markers, then diecut them with the coordinating Happy Mail Confetti Cuts dies. In the center of the square, I ink blended some pale pink ink, and stamped the smaller cluster from the set in the same ink for a tone on tone effect. The sentiment is from the Forever in Our Hearts stamp set.

The floral clusters are popped up with foam tape, and I added a scattering of clear sequins to finish off the card.

That's all for me today, but be sure to hop along to see all that the rest of the design team has to share with you!  Thanks for stopping by! :)

Countdown to Confetti - Day 3

Hello there!  Welcome to day 3 of the Countdown to Confetti with Reverse Confetti!  Today, I created a card and tag set using several new products from the July release, available tomorrow, July 8th!

To create my card, I started off with a Polar White card base cut to A2 size.  On top of that, I layered the new Circle of Hearts Cover Panel, also cut from white cardstock.  I added a strip of patterned paper from the new Sun & Sea 6x6 paper pad to the bottom of the card front.  Then, I stamped a trio of flowers from the new Bold Blooms stamp set in Bumblebee ink, then carefully restamped again, this time just inking the very edges of the petals with Tangerine ink.  Double inking like this gives extra dimension to the flowers.  The center details were stamped in Tangerine  and Midnight inks.  The open leaves were stamped in Midnight ink and the solid leaves were stamped first in Lime Green ink, then the edges were stamped again with Olive ink, and the veins of the leaves were stamped in Avocado ink.  Then, they were diecut using the coordinating Bold Blooms Confetti Cuts dies.  I arranged the bouquet onto a circle cut using the Fa La La Circle Confetti Cuts dies.  The sentiment is from a new sentiment set, Sentimental Sayings.

I created a coordinating gift tag using the new Fold Over Tag Confetti Cuts die set, cut from Tangerine cardstock.  The florals are from the same Bold Blooms stamp set, the pinked circle was cut using the Flowers For Mom Confetti Cuts dies, and the sentiment  is from the previously released Bitty Banners stamp set, diecut using the coordinating Bitty Banners Confetti Cuts dies.

Bold Blooms and Sentimental Sayings

Here you can see how the inked edges of the flowers and leaves adds some extra dimension.  You could also achieve a similar look by adding shading with markers or colored pencils.

That's all for me today, but be sure to hop along with the rest of the team and comment along the way for a chance to win a Reverse Confetti gift certificate! :)

Countdown to Confetti - Day 2

Hello there!  It's day 2 of the Countdown to Confetti at Reverse Confetti!  Today, the team is showing off three adorable stamp sets! New critters are joining the gang!

My first card uses the new Lemonade Stand stamp set and the adorable Hippo from the new Hippo Pool Party stamp set.  To create my card, I started off by ink blending some Abandoned Coral, Wild Honey and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide inks onto 2/3 of a white cardstock panel, and then splattered the panel with white paint for some added interest.  I stamped and colored several images from the Lemonade Stand stamp set and diecut them with the coordinating Lemonade Stand Confetti Cuts dies.  The cute little hippo is part of the new Hippo Pool Party stamp set, and so is the rug/towel in front of the stand.  That is paper pieced with new patterned paper from the Sun & Sea paper pad.

I arranged all of the pieces to create my little scene, then glued some down with a glue pen and popped up others with foam tape.  The sentiment is stamped on a white cardstock strip, popped up, and it's from the Lemonade Stand stamp set.

Lemonade Stand and Hippo Pool Party 2

My second card features the Let's Shellabrate stamp set!  To create this card, I started off by ink blending some Baby Blue ink onto a white card base.  On top of that, I layered the new Bubbles Confetti Cuts die, cut from white cardstock.  I added a piece of patterned paper from the new Sun & Sea paper pad to the bottom of the card front and diecut the two layers of the new Pool Confetti Cuts dies from Mist and Baby Blue cardstock.

Shellabrate

I stamped and colored the cute little turtle from the Let's Shellabrate stamp set along with some cattails and rocks from the set and popped them all up with foam tape inside the little pool.  A sentiment from the set is stamped on a white cardstock strip and popped up with foam tape.

That's all for me today,  but me sure to hop along with the rest of the team and comment for your chance to win a Reverse Confetti gift certificate!  :)

Countdown to Confetti - Day 1

Hello there!  It's day one of the Countdown to Confetti at Reverse Confetti!  My card today showcases the new Butterfly Blossoms stamp set!  It's a beauty!

To create my card, I started off with a white A2 card base.  I ink blended most of  the card front with Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide ink and spattered on some clean, clear water to add some bleached out spot.  I diecut the Swoosh Cover Panel from Midnight cardstock and adhered that to the card front with a glue pen.  Then, I stamped and colored the gorgeous butterfly from Butterfly Blossoms with Copic markers and diecut it with the coordinating Butterfly Blossoms Confetti Cuts dies.

I added some white gel pen accents to the butterfly and popped it up with foam tape.  I stamped  a sentiment from the set in the bottom left corner and added a scattering of iridescent jewels to finish off the card.
