Lawnscaping Challenge #116 - Too Cute To Spook!

**This is my second post today!  If you are looking for my Papertrey Ink Moments Ink Planner post, please scroll down**

It's time for another Lawnscaping Challenge!  This week, the challenge is to create a cute, non-spooky halloween project!

We are sponsored this week by the super fabulous gang at Lawn Fawn!

For my project, I created this halloween tag.  I started by cutting two tags out of white cardstock using the largest tag from the Stitched Circle Tags die set.  Then, I diecut one of those tags with the Snowy Backdrops die, and inked it with Chipped Sapphire distress ink.  I adhered it to the other tag diecut to let the white show through to create a starry sky.  I cut the same tag again out of dark blue card stock, and then used the Stitched Hillside borders to create a ground for my scene.  I stamped, colored and diecut the bunnies from the Snow Day stamp set, the pumpkin from the Happy Harvest stamp set, and the little witch hats from the Holiday Party Animal stamp set.  I popped them all up on the tag using foam tape, and then I stamped the "boo" speech bubble from the Booyah stamp set and fussy cut that out.  I adhered that with a glue pen, and stamped the tiny spider from the same stamp set.  To finish things off, I added some bright orange ribbon, and tied a bow with Blue Jay Lawn Trimmings.

Sparkle and Shine Challenge #16

**This is my second post today!  Please scroll down to see the sneak peek of a project that I am sharing on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog today**

Hi there!  It's time for another Sparkle and Shine Challenge!  We have a super fun inspiration photo today!  I love the pink pumpkins, and the mix of glittery and matte finishes!  Can't wait to see how other people are inspired by it!

This challenge is sponsored by our friends at Winnie and Walter!

I am still working on my halloween tags for this year... I can't believe that halloween is only about two weeks away!  Where is time going!?  For my tag, I used a super cute set by Reverse Confetti called Too Cute to Spook!  I started off using the Tag Me die and cut it from some hot pink cardstock.  Then I stamped, colored and diecut my images.  I added some patterned paper to the bottom of the tag to give the cute little cat something to stand on.  Then I used the smallest web from the Papertrey Ink Spider Web trio die set to cut a place for the spider to sit.  I popped the images up with foam tape, added a scattering of Strawberry Burst and Sparkling Clear sequins by Pretty Pink Posh, and some Lawn Fawn Black Tie twine to finish things off.

Lawnscaping Challenge #114 - One Layer

Hello there!  It's time for another Lawnscaping Challenge!  Challenge #114 is a one layer card challenge!

We are sponsored this week by the super fabulous Lawn Fawn!

One layer cards are hard for me.  HARD.  Foam tape is my BFF.  So this Lawnscaping Challenge was just that.  A challenge.  But I had fun with this one, and I am pleased with how it turned out.  I started off by stamping the witch hat from the Booyah stamp set, masked it off, stamped the ghost, masked that off and stamped the broom.  I stamped the end of the broom handle on the right side of the ghost too to make the handle appear as if it's reaching all the way behind the ghost.  I stamped the speech bubble and masked that off too, and added the little hanging spider.  Then I used the star dies from the Stitched Journaling Card die set to diecut a post-it note.  I used the little star diecuts as masks, and then used Dusty Concord, Hickory Smoke and Blueprint Sketch distress inks to sponge a night sky.  I removed the tiny star masks which showed the white cardstock underneath, and outlined those with my Sakura Stardust pen.  I removed the rest of the masks and colored the ghost with my Copic makers, then I stamped more tiny stars with the Blueprint Sketch ink.  Finally, I stamped the sentiment, also from the Booyah stamp set.

And here is my card!  I LOVE all of the Reverse Confetti animals and I have been wishing for a cat set for a long time.  I was so excited to see Too Cute To Spook!  I also used the Diagonal Stripe Pretty Panels on my card too.  I watercolored the background with Twisted Citron Distress Ink and then used some Lawn Fawn patterned paper to ground things a bit.  Finally I finished things off with some Pretty Pink Posh Peridot Mist iridescent sequins.

Hello there!!  It's time for another Sparkle and Shine Challenge!  This week, it's all about the color GREEN!

We are sponsored by our friends at Winnie and Walter!

I have a green halloween card to share with you today!  I started out by stamping stripes on a white card base using Papertrey Ink's Watercolor Wonder stamp set and Lawn Fawn Celery Stick ink.  Then I diecut the medium sized spider web using the Papertrey Ink Spider Web Trio die set.  I stamped, colored and fussy cut the adorable franken-ghost and the pumpkins from the Booyah and Happy Harvest stamp sets by Lawn Fawn, popped them up with foam tape onto my striped card base, and then added some stars and a sentiment from the Booyah stamp set, and finished things off with some Peridot Mist and Sparkling Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Personalized Halloween Tags {Lawn Fawn}

Hi there!  Today I am on the Lawnscaping blog with a fun set of Halloween tags using a bunch of goodies from the new release!  I  have a bunch of kiddos in my life that get special halloween treats, and I like to dress them up with handmade tags.  Here are a few that I created using the new Booyah stamp set!  I just love these little ghosts!  Keep reading to see how I made them, and for close up photos of each.

Halloween Tags

I started off by diecutting the largest star in the Puffy Star Stackables die set out of halloween colors of cardstock.  Then, using the second largest star in the set, I diecut both a black star and a white star...

Halloween Tags

I put the black star face down on the Snowy Backdrops die to cut the pattern into the black star, and then I glued the white star directly behind it to show off those cute tiny stars and circles!  I stamped, colored and fussy cut several little ghosts and accessories from the Booyah stamp set, and then stamped colored and fussy cut the largest pumpkins from the Happy Harvest stamp set - 2 for each tag.

Halloween Tags

Then, using Owen's ABCs and a banner die from my stash, I personalized each tag using black ink.  I punched a tiny hole in each of the large colored stars and threaded some Spooky Lawn trimmings through and tied a bow.  Then, I adhered the black and white star to the larger one with foam tape, along with the ghosts, pumpkins and banners, all with you guessed it, foam tape.  The ghosts are on two layers of tape so that they stand out above everything else.  I added some white gel pen accents and wink of stella glitter pen, too.

That's all for me today... I hope you are inspired to create some halloween tags of your own!  Thanks for stopping by! :)

Cat's Meow Halloween {Papertrey Ink}

Hello there!!

I know it's only August, but in a effort to prove to myself that I don't need any more halloween stamps, I pulled out my favorites and wanted to get some cards made.  I make very little for halloween usually, and I figure if I can have my projects finished before I stare at new halloween releases long enough, I won't cave and order them. LOL!

If you've followed my blog for awhile, it's no secret that Papertrey Ink's Tremendous Treats series is one of my favorites.  The scale of the images is perfect to go with the Cat's Meow set, and they are both such cute and whimsical sets that they compliment each other so well!

The spider in the Tremendous Treats set was a little too big, so I pulled out my Tiny Treats Halloween set and they were the perfect size.  And of course, I couldn't make a halloween card without the Spider Web dies! :)

Owl Treat Box & Mini Card {Clear & Simple Stamps}

The first part of my Clear & Simple Stamps order arrived and I could not wait to dig in! Since my friend Elena kept teasing me with the Build-a-Critter Owl dies, I decided it was time to order my own, and I just LOVE them. SO fun! :)   Using the Party Favor 5 die, I created a treat box. I cut a window in the front of the box using the Shapes: Hearts dies and a pieces of clear acetate. The owl belly is stamped with From An Anonymous Source watermarking ink using the Background Basics 1 set. The matching tag and mini card uses bits and pieces from the Taglines: Critters set (another favorite of mine!)

Here is a side view:

And my little Owl Ensemble :)

Home Sweet Haunted House!??!

Yes, I am completely aware that it is March, and not October. LOL! I just got this idea and had to go with it... at least I am getting a jump on fall holidays. Sometimes it is fun to pull out holiday stamps when there is not a holiday in sight... makes this less stressful. LOL! I used a bunch of stamps from different companies for this card. The main image is the house from the new Market Street Stamps Home Sweet Home set (still smitten with this one!). The clouds are from PTI's Up Up and Away set and the tiny pumpkins are from the treat bag in PTI's Tiny Treats: Halloween. Finally, the bats are from Paper Smooches Halloweenies set. I started out with a white card base and used Distress inks to create the night sky. So fun! :)

Off to start the laundry, do the dishes and hopefully squeeze in some crafty time before it's time to get the kiddos from school! :)

Supplies:
Stamps: Market Street Stamps Home Sweet Home, PTI Up Up & Away, Tiny Treats Halloween, Paper Smooches Halloweenies

Trick or Treat!

Another holiday down... and less than 2 months until Christmas... where did this year go?!?!

Thankfully the rain stopped in time for us to go trick-or-treating last night... This year it seemed like costumes were SO expensive! $25 each something they will wear for 2 hours?! I think not. When we were kids, our costumes were always homemade or handmade (thanks Mom!) and it's more fun that way! Time for me to put my papercrafting skills to work... not with cardstock and ribbon, but with cardboard and string! Here is Joshua, our very blue LEGO :)

And Logan wanted to be a solider. Well, it just so happens that his dad was a Marine, and with one trip to the closet, we have Cammies, dogtags, backpacks, hats and war paint! Here he is, looking so tough, and SO much like his dad in this picture! :)

And here is one last picture of my crazy pair... LOVE these guys to pieces <3

Wee Memories Challenge #71

Good Morning! It is a BEAUTIFUL Saturday morning here in Florida! The sun is shining, it's finally cool enough (for now) to open the windows, and there are cupcakes baking in my oven. I am a happy girl!

I started this card last night and got tired, so finished it early this morning. I love crafting while the rest of the house sleeps. The calm and quiet are so relaxing. I was so excited to see this weeks Wee Memories Challenge #71 is Halloween themed AND sponsored by my new favorite stamp company, Paper Smooches. It just so happens that my card uses the Paper Smooches Halloweenies stamp set, along with the new Hot Concoctions set. I used the coffee cup in the set (minus the handle) to make the Witch's caldron. The steam from the pot is also from the set, and I used some bubbles from Surf and Turf as well. I LOVE combining many PS sets to build scenes. :)

Supplies:
Stmaps: Paper Smooches Halloweenies, Hot Concoctions, Surf and Turf
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: PTI Stampers Select White, Orange Zest

August Papertrey Ink Blog Hop!

It's that time again at Papertrey Ink! Time for the monthly blog hop! For the month of August, we are encouraged to turn a plain old brown paper lunch bag into a papercrafting work of art. For this challenge, I made a halloween treat holder using cardstock and a lunch bag. These are super fun to make, and could be used to hold a bunch of different fun things! Obviously nothing big or bulky will fit (not with the dimensions that I used anyway), but there are still tons of possibilities! How about using one as a gift card holder? Or maybe to hold a pack of baseball cards for a little guy? Or some cute hair bows for a little girl? A mini bag of microwave popcorn? Some Silly Bands? FUN! :)

This has been on my "to-try" list for awhile now. I came across this video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56tgRKEw5Dg

I used one of my favorite images from the Tiny Treats Halloween set from PTI. Isn't he SO cute?!?!

Here is the outside all folded up:

And here is a look inside... a pack of gum fits perfectly...
