Thank you BERRY much!

Hello there!
Just a super quick post to share the goodies that I put together for the boys' teachers for the end of the school year. Summer break starts tomorrow! :) Inspired by something I saw on Pinterest, I ordered these cute ceramic berry baskets from Sur La Table, and filled them with Strawberry scented goodies from Bath and Body Works along with some cute strawberry shaped drink coasters. I jazzed up a little chalkboard garden stake with PTI's Strawberry Patch & Strawberry Patch Sentiments sets and coordinating dies, and sent along matching cards for each of the teachers.

I just took a super quick picture before the sun went down, as I was packing them up last night.

And here is a picture of the cards - showcased this one on my blog a few weeks back :)

That's all for now... off to get some things done on my last kid-free day until August! :)

Happy World Card Making Day!

Happy World Card Making Day! :) I hope all of my card making friends are having a blast today, and are enjoying every minute of this day dedicated to the hobby that we all love so much. With stamping, I feel like I have finally found my niche in the creative world. I absolutely LOVE playing with paper and ink, and it bring so much enjoyment and relaxation to my life.

Today, I wanted to make a thank you card, because I am thankful for this hobby. I am thankful for a creative outlet, and for all of the wonderful stamping/card making friends that I have met along the way.

I will also be entering this card in the Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge. There is still time to participate! :)

I used paper streamers and scortape to make the ruffle at the bottom. So fun! And of course, the card is pink to go along with the challenge, but also in honor of the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Paper Smooches also introduced a BCA Stamp Set, called Hope. It is available for purchase now, and 50% of the profits will be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. I already ordered mine! :)

Supplies:
Stamps: Paper Smooches Chit Chat, Hot Concoctions (heart)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: PTI Sweet Blush
Other: PTI Scarlet Jewel Dot Satin Ribbon, PTI 1/8" Silk Ribbon, Martha Stewart Tag Punch, Paper Streamers, Scortape, Copic Markers

Thank you Nichole!

Some of the girls on the Papertrey Ink message boards thought up a great idea! A "Thank You Nichole" Blog Hop! For those of you who don't know, Nichole Heady is one of three owners of PTI. She wears many hats - owner, designer, wife, mother, magician... the list goes on. All too often, she doesn't get the thanks and recognition that she deserves, and so, as a tribute, we are making thank you notes for her and posting them for all to see. :)

Nichole, this is my personal thank you to you. I truly appreciate all that you do for your PTI customers. Thank you for all of your time, hard work, dedication and inspiration. Though I have never met you, I consider you a friend and am thankful for all that PTI brings into my life. Because of your company, I am able to sit back and relax and create with beautiful products, I can go and get in some giggles on the message boards, and I can practice my stalking techniques while I wait for the mailman in the days following release day. In all seriousness though, all that you do does NOT go unnoticed or appreciated. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!!

Here is my card created especially for Nichole, using all PTI products:

Thank you to my BFF!

My 30th birthday was back in July, and with it being summer vacation and having the boys home, we had to take a raincheck on my birthday present from my BFF. This past Tuesday, Brandi surprised me with a trip to a beautiful local spa, and I got to enjoy my very first Swedish massage. It was 50 minutes of pure heaven. Then after the spa, we went to lunch at my favorite Mexican restaurant, and then to the local scrapbook store. It was a perfect day :) To thank her for her thoughtfulness, I make her this card...

Stamps: Embellishments, Gobble Gobble, Polkadot Basics, Tiny Treats Valentine
Cardstock: Sweet Blush, Stampers Select White, Hibiscus Burst

A Rustic Thank You

With my latest Papertrey Ink order, I got the Distressed Stripes stamp set. After seeing the versatility with this set, I knew I had to have it. Well, that and the fact that I am a sucker for anything with a distressed finish. I love anything with an old, rustic feel, and so, when I sat down today to make a thank you card, I couldn't wait to try out this awesome set. I can see myself using it ALOT. I also took my PTI Sign Language set for a test drive. I'd been planning to sell it (since I have had it nearly a year and it's gone untouched), but I think I will hang on to it *wink*

Supplies: (All Papertrey Ink unless noted)

Cardstock: Kraft, Stampers Select White, Scarlet Jewel, Spring Moss

Ink: Scarlet Jewel, Ripe Avocado, Spring Miss, Tea Dye Duo

Stamps: Distressed Stripes, Sign Language, Flutterby Friend, Beautiful Blooms

Other: Rustic Twine, Marvvy Oval Punch
