Paper Smooches January Challenge #1

**This is my second post of the day!  Scroll down for the Seasons Giving Blog Hop!**

Hello there!  Happy 2020!  I hope you all are enjoying this beautiful New Year's Day!  I have some happy news to share!  I am over-the-moon excited to be joining the gang at Paper Smooches as a challenge team designer for the first quarter of 2020!  Paper Smooches has been a long time favorite of mine and I am just SO thankful and excited to have been chosen!

Challenge #1 for January is anything COLD!  This challenge will run from January 1-14th, with the winners being announced at the end of January!

To create my card, I started off by watercoloring a background using Distress inks in the shades Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves, Dusty Concord and Chipped Sapphire.  After the watercolor was dry, I splattered on some watered down white acrylic paint.  I stamped and colored some  of the adorable snowmen and the tiny bird from the Cool Dudes stamp set, and diecut them with the coordinating Cool Dudes Icons dies.  Before adhering them, I diecut a variety of snowflakes using the Snowflakes dies, and placed them over top of the watercolored area.  The snowmen and bird were popped up with foam tape.  To ground them, I used the Bannerific dies to cut a piece of Rainbow Sherbet patterned paper.  The sentiment, from the Winter Sampler stamp set, was stamped on a hand cut banner.  To finish off my card, I added some white gel pen accents and iridescent sequins to the centers of a few of the snowflakes.

Let it Snow
