Spellbinders x Cut & Emboss Folders and Jane Davenport

Hello there!  Today, I have a fun post to share with you using some products from Spellbinders including the new Cut and Emboss Folders and coloring mediums by Jane Davenport.

My card today uses the Moroccan View Cut and Emboss Folder.  I ran a piece of white cardstock through my diecut machine using the embossing folder, and then  mounted it to a white card base.  The folder not only embosses the design, but it also cuts out certain areas to reveal whatever you layer underneath.  You can see in the photo of the embossing folder a few white area.  Those are the places where the paper is cut.  So fun!  To add color to my project, and enhance the embossed design, I used the Lit Up Pastel Palette from the Jane Davenport Making Faces collection.

I just used dipped the corner of a dry baby wipe in each color, and rubbed it over top of the embossing.  I used a clean area of the wipe every time I switched colors and they blended beautifully where they overlapped.  So much fun!  Be sure the baby wipe is DRY though, as I think moisture wouldn't be good for the pastels.

To finish off my card, I added a bold sentiment on a white strip of cardstock and a scattering of iridescent sequins to coordinate with the pastel colors.
