Countdown to Confetti - Day 1

Hello hello!  Today kicks off the Reverse Confetti Countdown to Confetti!  Lots of lovey dovey happening this month, and it couldn't be cuter!!  All of the new release goodies that we will be featuring over the next few days will be available in the Reverse Confetti Store on January 8th!

I am just loving the color scheme this month!  Pink and red are my favorite colors, and I squealed with delight when I opened my box!  A beautiful range of pinks and a gorgeous new red, just in time for Valentine's Day!

For my project to day, I made a little ensemble of a card and matching tiny treat box!  Below, I will go into more detail about how I created them!!

Cured Ensemble

First up, the card!  Squeeeee!  Piggies!  Gosh, I love them!!  And this amazing new stencil!  It's going to get a lot of use around here!!

To create my card, I started off with a piece of watercolor paper. I find that watercolor paper blends ink more evenly, so I prefer to use it when I am doing any sort of background inking, even if I do not use any water.  I placed the new Hearts stencil on the watercolor paper, and used the new Piggy Bank ink to create an ombre background.  I concentrated more color in the upper right corner, and lightened it as I worked left and towards the bottom of the paper.  Then I added a strip of polka dot patterned paper from the new True Love Paper Pad.  I stamped, colored and diecut the adorable piggies from the new Cured stamp set.  Above them, I added a diecut sentiment from the new XOXO Hearts Confetti Cuts,  and a few diecut hearts from the same die set.  The smaller hearts are from the XOXO Hearts Confetti cuts, and the bigger heart is the negative from the All Heart Cover Panel.  I added some accents with a white gel pen, and popped the panel up on a Flamingo cardstock base.

Cured

Then I created a matching tiny treat box using the new Goodie Box Confetti Cuts.  I used all of the same elements from the card.  The patterned paper squares are cut from the new Goodie Box Additions Confetti Cuts, as well as the little tag, stamped with a sentiment from the Cured stamp set.

Cured Box
