Lawnscaping Challenge #132 - Distress

**This is my second post for the day. If you are looking for my Papertrey Ink Moments Ink Planner post, please scroll down**

Hi there! It's time for another Lawnscaping Challenge!  This challenge is a Distress Maniacs Challenge!  Use Distress products on your project or do some sort of distressing... or both!

We are sponsored by our friends at Lawn Fawn!

One of my most favorite ways to use Distress Inks to to watercolor with them.  To create my card, I pulled out Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry and Candied Apple Distress inks.  I started near the top of the watercolor paper, and used a 1" wide flat brush to create my stripes.  I left the paper dry, and applied each color of distress ink, from lightest to darkest and back again.  I dried each stripe with a heat tool before moving onto the next one. If a particular stripe wasn't dark enough for my liking, I painted over it again, then dried it a second time.  When I was happy with my watercoloring, I added a stitched edge with the largest die in the Large Stitched Rectangles Stackables.  Then, using my favorite stamp set from the newest release, So Smooth, I stamped and colored the cute little blender, drinks and fruit, and then diecut them with the coordinating So Smooth dies.  I added accents with a white gel pen.  I stamped a sentiment from the same set on a strip of white cardstock, and adhered it with foam tape.  This helps ground the images so they are not floating on the front of the card.  I arranged my pieces and then popped them up with foam tape.  Finally, I added a scattering of sequins to finish things off.

Don't Whirry
