Jessica's 2000 Followers Instagram Blog Hop

Hello there!  Today I have a card to share for my friend, Jessica's Instagram Blog Hop!  Jessica has reached 2,000 followers and she is celebrating!!  Apart from the Instagram hop, Jessica is also giving away a fun crafty prize to her blog readers!  You can read all about how to win here!  And you can visit Jessica's Instagram here!

The theme of the hop is friendship.  For my card, I used the Enclosed: Butterfly stamps and dies from Papertrey Ink.  I started off with a white card base.  I diecut the Horizontal Stripe Coverplate from True Black cardstock.  Then I diecut the Enclosed: Butterfly twice; once from white cardstock and once from black cardstock.  On the the white butterfly, I stamped the butterfly wing images.  I inked the top half of the stamp with Twisted Citron Distress Ink and the bottom with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink.  Before stamping, I used a paint brush and clean clear water to blend the colors a bit.  Then I adhered the black butterfly outline to the stamped butterfly, and added the rest of the sentiment from the Enclosed: Butterfly stamp set, before adhering the butterfly to the card base using foam tape.
