Feline Valentines & Lunchbox Treats

Hello there!  Happy Valentine's Day!  It's my favorite holiday and I have been having lots of fun creating little surprises for my littlest boys! :)  I have two things to share with you today!

First, if you follow me on Facebook or Instagram, it is no secret that I am a HUGE animal lover.  My boys feel the same way!  When I was a child, I had a cat that had kittens in my closet when I was 3 years old.  One of those kittens, Buster, became my childhood best friend, move out with me when I got married and got to meet our first son.  Buster was 19 years old when he passed, and nearly all of my childhood memories include Buster.

We have 5 felines in our house, and 2 of the 5 have taken to the boys.  They each have "their cat" that sleeps with them, stays in their rooms when they are off to school, and patiently wait for their return at the window every afternoon, just like my Buster did with me.

Logan has claimed our  most recent addition, Leo.  Leo was a stray that showed up in our yard one day not even a month ago.  He was in pretty sad shape when I found him in the bushes in front of the house, but a quick trip to the vet to get some meds, and he's as good as new.  He's found a new home with us, and he and Logan have become fast friends.

A Logan and Leo selfie!

Joshua's feline BFF is Malcolm.  Malcolm has been part of our family for several years now.  He belonged to my Nana, and when she got sick and passed away, he became ours.  He and Joshua bonded immediately.  Where Joshua is, Malcolm is.

Oddly enough, they are both orange and white.  When I saw these adorable candy boxes at Target with a giant orange cat on the front, I grabbed one for each of the boys from their feline valentines *wink*  I made little tags using PTI's Tremendous Treats Valentine and Lawn Fawn's Milo's ABCs.

While perusing the Valentine's aisle, I also came across giant chocolate chip cookies in cute tins.  I added little tags with a love note and will include these in the boys' lunches today.  I did something similar for Halloween and the boys still talk about it :)

I used The Alley Way Stamps Lighter than Air stamp set on a PTI Tag Sale 5 diecut.

I glued two diecuts together at the top and made a tiny card.  On the inside, I stamped a sentiment from the Lighter than Air stamp set.

I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day!
Thanks for stopping by for a visit!
