Blog Feature: Ombre Copic Coloring {Clear and Simple Stamps}

Hello there!!  Today, I have a little tutorial for you.  I am loving the ombre trend lately, and the open line sentiments from the CSS Rag Doll sets is perfect for that!!

Here is a mini card set that I created using the Ombre Copic Coloring Technique:

For my card set, I used the new Rag Doll Wesley: Note, and the tiny flowers and leaves from Taglines: Critters.  Each 3" x 3" square card features the largest square diecut from the Squares Combo, popped up on foam squares.

Here is a close up photo of all 4 cards packaged in a 4" glassine envelope with a stamped tag using the Rag Doll Tea Party set and Tea Bag Tag die:

Here are a few pictures to show you how I achieved this look:

1. I started off by using the lightest color in my marker trio, in this case RV10.  I filled in the word "note" completely with that color.
2. Then, using the darkest color in the trio, in this case, RV14, I colored in the word from the bottom, about 1/3 of the way up.
3. In step 3, I used the middle shade, RV13, and blended it into RV14.
4.  In my final step, I used RV10 again, this time, blending it into RV13, and then going over the entire word again with RV10 to fully blend all three colors together.

I love this technique with all different colors.  The trios that I used in this project are as follows:

Pink: RV10, RV13, RV14
Yellow: YR32, YR35, YR38
Aqua: BG11, BG13, BG15
Purple: V12, V15, V17

I hope this was helpful to you!  Thanks so much for stopping by! :)
