Ahoy, Birthday Boy!

Hello there! Happy Monday! I always try to look at my stamps as one big collection rather than individual sets. I look for ways to stretch my stamps, and I often use stamps from various companies on one project. I pulled out one of my favorite PTI sets, Tremendous Treats: Birthday. I wanted to use an image that I had never used before, so I settled on the adorable little pirate. Then it came to me... why not make Clear and Simple Stamps Ragdoll Wesley into a Pirate!? I stamped and colored Wesley and cut him out. I masked off the skull and crossbones from the pirate hat and stamped it on Wesley's shirt. Then I stamped the PTI Pirate and cut out his hat and eye patch to use on Wesley. I cut a panel for Wesley to stand on, and stamped the woodgrain image from CSS' Background Basics I to make it look like Wesley was walking the plank ;) To make the sky, I diecut PTI Clouds and used them as masks, sponging with distress ink and then removing them. The sentiment is from PTI Tiny Treats: Birthday.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a great day! :)
