Papertrey Ink July Blog Hop

It is so hard to believe that it is time again for another PTI blog hop! Where are the month going?!?! This month's challenge is inspired by this photo:

I am not gonna lie... for some reason, this combination of colors was really hard for me, I guess because it involved colors that I don't reach for often. After making (and trashing) three other cards, I finally finished one that I was happy with. I used the Friendship Jar Fillers stamp set and a sentiment from Happy Trails.

Can't wait to hop and see what everyone else has to share! Thanks for stopping by! :)

Supplies:
Stamps: PTI Friendship Jar Fillers, Happy Trails
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Stampers Select White, Berry Sorbet, Summer Sunrise Pattern Paper Pack
Dies: Limitless Layers Square
Other: Berry Sorbet Satin Ribbon, Copic Markers, Popdots

(I struggle with the colours we were challenged to use, too. Well, mostly Melon Berry. The other ones are fine, but Melon Berry is a tough one.)

  11. That's a lovely card, Audrey. How clever of you to step away from the obvious approach of flowers.

My trouble with the colors is that they did not say 'summer' to me. I'm not quite ready to work with those muted shades.
