Hey there! I have a fun card to share with you today! As soon as I saw the first peeks of the new Color My World stamp from WPlus9, I knew I had to have it. I have a serious addiction to art supplies and watercolor and seeing these illustrated paint tubes make me giddy!
I started off my card by running a piece of watercolor paper through my diecut machine with the Avery Elle Wonky Stitches dies to add a fun stitched edge. Then I stamped an image from the WPlus9 Ink Splats stamp set (this stamp set is a perfect compliment to Color My World!) in a row about a third of the way down the panel using a rainbow of Distress Inks. After I stamped the splats, I used a paint brush with clean clear water to move the ink around a bit. I stood the paper on end to allow the water to run to the bottom of the panel and then let everything air dry. I stamped, colored and fussy cut a bunch of paint tubes from the Color My World stamp set, and adhered the to the card panel on top of their matching ink splats. Some are adhered flat with a glue pen, and others are popped up using foam tape. Then I stamped a sentiment from the same set, centered near the bottom of the panel. I colored in the word "YOU with black ink and "COLOR" with copic markers. The "YOU" stood out a little too much for my liking, so I added a thicker black outline/shadow to the world "COLOR" to balance things out a little better. When I was finish, I popped the panel up on a pale grey card base.
I can't wait to play with this set a little more! LOADS of possibilities with this one. Dawn sure knows the way to my heart! :)
That's all for me today! Thanks for stopping by! :)
