Good Morning! This week's Make-it-Monday over at Papertrey ink is all about one layer cards. Nearly all of my cards use layers or dimension some how, so this was really a challenge for me. I have been wanting to pull out my Strawberry Patch stamp set since the design team revisited it the other day on the blog.
To make this card, I first cut a piece of A2 Rustic Cream cardstock, then masked off the center using a post-it note. With the mask in place, I stamped some Scribbed Circles using Fine Linen and Ripe Avocado ink (I stamped off once, then stamped on the card front for a more muted color). Then I removed the mask, and masked the reverse to cover the pattern that I created. I stamped the strawberry image in the open area and then removed the mask. After coloring, I added small dots here and there in the patterned area and then stamped the sentiment, allowing the tails of the sentiment to overlap onto the border. I still felt that something was missing, so I took the little curly vine image and stamped it a few places part way onto the patterned border. Finally, I added some Wink of Stella glitter pen to the flowers on the image. The layering of several stamp sets really does add dimension!
That's all for now... Thanks for stopping by! :)
