Papertrey Ink July Blog Hop
It is so hard to believe that it is time again for another PTI blog hop! Where are the month going?!?! This month's challenge is inspired by this photo:
I am not gonna lie... for some reason, this combination of colors was really hard for me, I guess because it involved colors that I don't reach for often. After making (and trashing) three other cards, I finally finished one that I was happy with. I used the Friendship Jar Fillers stamp set and a sentiment from Happy Trails.
Can't wait to hop and see what everyone else has to share! Thanks for stopping by! :)
Supplies:
Stamps: PTI Friendship Jar Fillers, Happy Trails
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Stampers Select White, Berry Sorbet, Summer Sunrise Pattern Paper Pack
Dies: Limitless Layers Square
Other: Berry Sorbet Satin Ribbon, Copic Markers, Popdots
Audrey, so pretty and original. Great idea.
ReplyDeleteLove the design of your card - glad you kept going until you created this one!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, Audrey! Your coloring is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLovely! I love the paintbrushes in the square dies--- just perfect!
ReplyDelete(I struggle with the colours we were challenged to use, too. Well, mostly Melon Berry. The other ones are fine, but Melon Berry is a tough one.)

ReplyDeleteSo pretty. I love that you didn't use flowers and went with the brushes instead. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteWonderful! Love that you jumped off of the flower bandwagon.
ReplyDeleteNo one would know you had trouble with these colors - your card is fantastic! I love the way you did the brushes, and that ribbon adorning the patterned paper is just so, so pretty. Love it. ;-)
ReplyDeleteLove it Audrey!!! Your take on the challenge makes me smile!
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely card, Audrey. How clever of you to step away from the obvious approach of flowers.
ReplyDeleteMy trouble with the colors is that they did not say 'summer' to me. I'm not quite ready to work with those muted shades.
I'm so glad that you kept at it. This card is so cute and I love the paint brushes layered into the frames. Nicely done!
