Make It Monday #14 - Selective Inking
This week's PTI Make It Monday Challenge is all about selecting inking. I made a pint size jar using Friendship Jar. I inked up the bottom part of the jar, and then inked the mouth of the jar, leaving out the middle, which made it smaller. Then I used the solid filler image from the same set, and inked only the very top edge to make the dirt in the jar. The finished size of this card is 4.5"x4.5".
Supplies (all PTI unless noted):
Stamps: Friendship Jar, Friendship Jar Spring Fillers, Tag Its #3, Background Basics: Tin Types, Tiny Tags
Ink: Tea Dye Duo, Sweet Blush, Spring Moss, Memento Rich Cocoa, Palette Charcoal
Paper: Sweet Blush, Stampers Select White
Other: Tiny Tags Die, Rustic Jute Twine, Pop Dots
This is SO sweet Audrey, and brilliantly executed! ARGH you are making it hard for me to resist the jars, I've held out for soooo long but I'm getting weak, lol!
ReplyDeletethis is super cute! love the little jar!
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty, Audrey! Such a soft and sweet card. Great job with the MIM technique this week. I can't even tell where the top and bottom of the jar meet.
ReplyDeletegreat job...i loved making these little jars too!
ReplyDeletevery clever - and really well done! I would never be able to get it to look so seamless :)
ReplyDeleteYou really are clever. It is always so exciting to see what you will come up with next especially where those fab jars are concerned. This is wonderful. You must have hands as steady as an ace bomb technician. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteI meant to type an ace bomb "disposal" technician. Lol. Because you sure are one of the good/great guys. No doubt about that. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI bet this one gets tweeted tonight, Audrey! Cute idea. I've done the jar before, but not that dirt idea of yours. So smart of you!
ReplyDeleteSweet!! Love the way you have created a 'little' jar from that larger stamp. That's something I need to try. How did you colour your little flowers inside? I just got the Tag It #3 and would like to give this a try.
ReplyDeletelove the tiny jar!
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your sweet comments! Karen, I inked the stems only of the flower cluster stamp with the corner of my inkpad and then used the single flower with no stem and stamped them one by one. Hope that helps :)
ReplyDeleteNow that is some creative selective inking! (I've gotta go check out the MIM video... haven't had a chance to do it yet.) Love your card.
ReplyDeleteOh this is so sweet! You did a great job on the MIM!
ReplyDeleteThis is so very pretty! I love how soft it looks. The twine looks just perfect on there, too. Love it!
