Papertrey Ink March Blog Hop!

It's time again for the montly blog hop at Papertrey Ink! This month, the challege:

Embroidery Floss
For the March Blog Hop we are challenging you to use embroidery floss in a fun and inventive way on your project. This could include stitching, wrapping it around and tying it like ribbon, braiding, accenting tags, embroidered patterns or anything else you can dream up! We look forward to seeing your creations!

I had so much fun with this card! I used DMC floss to match PTI colors (the pink matches Hibiscus Burst rather than Raspberry Fizz...)

A closeup of the stitching, which I did by tracing the outline of the die with a paper piercer and then threading the holes :)

And apparently, Malcolm was either trying to help or get me out of his way. I was taking my pictures just near his favorite window. I think he had enough of me invading his space ;)

Supplies (all PTI unless noted)
Stamps: BB: Gingham
Paper: Stampers Select White, Raspberry Fizz, New Leaf CS
Ink: Clearsnap Creamy Brown, Versamark
Dies: Friendly Flower, Sending You
Other: Hibiscus Burst button, Raspberry Fizz Satin Ribbon, DMC Floss in 702 (green), 3806 (pink), BLANC (white), Pop Dots

  4. Yes, Audrey. This is a really fun, bright and cheery card. This die was on my list, but didn't make the cut. Now I know it's back on top!! I love how you used the combination of stitching on the card front and on the paper flower. So cute.
