Guest Designing for WPlus9!

Hello there!  I am over-the-moon excited to share that I am guest designing for Wplus9 today!  I just love their new release (well all of their releases), and I couldn't wait to ink up the You Equal Kind stamp set!  Whimsical floral images are my favorite kinds of florals.  This set will work beautifully with the Doodle Buds stamp set too.  I can't wait to try them out together!

For my card today, I started off by water coloring a piece of Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Paper with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  While that was drying, I stamped the flowers and leaves from the You Equal Kind stamp set on the same watercolor paper in waterproof ink and colored them with my Zigs.  When they were completely dry, I diecut them with the the coordinating You Equal Kind dies.

Hope Your Day Is Awesome!

For my sentiment, I wanted dimension but adding foam tape to the word diecut would have been tedious.  Instead, I diecut the work 5 times and stacked all of the die cuts together, glueing them to each other with a glue pen.  I stamped the first part of the sentiment on a strip of white card stock and adhered that with foam tape.  To finish things off, I added a scattering of sequins.

Hope Your Day Is Awesome!

Owl Always Love You {Lawn Fawn}

Hello there!  Today I am sharing this card on the Lawn Fawn Blog!

I started off my card by diecutting a piece of white card stock using the Small Stitched Rectangles Stackables.  Then I diecut a large post it note with the Puffy Cloud Border dies to use as a mask.  I sponged light blue ink along the edge of the mask, moving it a few times to create a cloud design to cover the whole die cut.  I stamped the sun from the Hello Sunshine using Butter ink, and then added some shading using Copic markers.  I also stamped the long line image from Hello Sunshine on the panel for the little owls from the Mom and Me stamp set to sit  on.  Underneath, I stamped a sentiment from Mom and me, and then added a snippet of patterned paper and a Stitched Scalloped Border.   I also used Lobster ink to stamp a few tiny hearts from the Treat Yourself stamp set.  I popped the panel up on a red card base, and added a small bow with some Peppermint Lawn Trimmings.

Happy Mother's Day

Reverse Confetti April SFYTT

Hi there!  Today I have a post to share for the Reverse Confetti April SFYTT!

Here is the sketch:

I started off my card by masking off and watercoloring a diagonal design to mimic the sketch.  Then I die cut the Pretty Panels: Diagonal Stripes from white cardstock.  I stamped and colored the adorable unicorn from Unicorn Wishes and die cut them with the coordinating Unicorn Wishes Confetti Cuts.  I made this card for my pink obsessed niece, who is turning 3 this week. I added a birthday cake from the Later Alligator stamp set and die cut it with the coordinating Later Alligator Confetti Cuts.  I stamped a sentiment from the Unicorn Wishes stamp set on a banner die cut from the Flowers For Mom Confetti Cuts die set, and then added a scattering of sequins.

Unicorn Wishes

It may be a bit hard to tell, but I used a Sakura Stardust pen to add glitter to the unicorn's nose, mane and tail, and of course, none of my cards are complete with out foam tape and white gel pen accents. :)

Unicorn Wishes

That's all for me today!  I hope you will play along for your chance to win a Reverse Confetti gift certificate!  Thanks for stopping by! :)

Moment's Inked Planner - Health and Fitness Tracking {Papertrey Ink}

Hello there!  Today I have a fun post to share with you to show you how I plan to use my Papertrey Ink Moments Inked Planner as a fitness journal of sorts.  The Moments Inked: Active Symbols stamp set is perfect for this!  Here is a photo of the full spread, but I will go into further detail below.  Grab a cuppa your favorite beverage and keep reading :)

Fitness Journal

On the left side of my weekly spread, I used the shopping cart and shopping bag images from the Moments Inked: Everyday Symbols stamp set to set up a little shopping list area.  On the top, I made a list of a few healthy food choices that I need to stock up on that the grocery store this week.  Below that is a list of wishlist items that I will consider purchasing if I reach my fitness goals for the week/month, etc.  You will see that on Sunday, I planned to download some new running songs, indicated by the download symbol, also from Moments Inked: Everyday Symbols stamp set.

Fitness Journal

Mondays are my weigh-in day, so I added a little scale icon as a reminder.  I also used the prescription bottle from Moments Inked: Everyday Symbols and the tiny check box from the Moments Inked: Posted II stamp set to add reminders every day to take my multivitamin.

Fitness Journal

At the bottom of each daily column, I stamped the steps box from Moments Inked: Active Symbols to keep track of my daily step count.  The FitBit app is great, but seeing the number on paper is more encouraging for me.  On the days that I need to charge my Fitbit, I added a little reminder from the Moments Inked: Everyday Symbols stamp set.

Fitness Journal

One of my fitness goals is to complete the Couch to 5k running program.  I added the little running shoe from Moments Inked: Active Symbols to the days that I plan to either walk or run.  By adding the text images next to the little shoe, I can circle either walk or run, depending on which activity I do, and add my time, and calories burned, as well as keep track of my heart rate while active.

Fitness Journal

Friday, I am hoping to try out a yoga class, and there is a cute little yoga symbol in the Moments Inked: Active Symbols.  Along the top border of the right page, I added up and down arrows.  I will circle one at the end of the week depending on how well the week goes.  I have also considered using the arrows for weight loss or gain each week.  I am not sure which way I will go with that yet.

Fitness Journal

Finally, I stamped a lined insert using the Moments Inked: Notepad Refill, the Moments Inked: Edged dies and lined image from the Moments Inked: Posted II stamp set.  I plan to cut a put a new one along with the pages for each week so that I can track the good and the bad for the week.  I want to keep track of my victories - big and small, and also make note of things that I would like to change or improve on based on the outcome of each week.

Fitness Journal

That's it for me today!  I hope you are feeling inspired to use your Moments Inked Memory Planner to track your health and fitness goals in some way!  We would love to see how you are making your planner work for you!  Be sure to tag us using the #momentsinked hashtag on instagram!

No Lion! {Reverse Confetti}

Hi there!  Today I have a Father's Day card to share with you using the adorable Leaping Lions stamp set by Reverse Confetti!  This is a pretty clean and simple card for me.  I started off by stamping and coloring the lions, and then diecutting them with the coordinating Leaping Lions Confetti Cuts.  I arranged them on a white card panel, and though it is a bit hard to see in the photos, I added a trio of score lines to ground the lions.  I masked off the score lines and added a faint blue shadow behind the lions using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.  I popped them up using foam tape, and added a sentiment using an image from the Leaping Loins set and also the word "dad" from the new Tie-rific stamp set.  Finally, I popped the panel up on a white card base using foam tape.

No Lion, Dad!

I used a black glaze pen to give them shiny noses!  Sometimes little details make a big impact on an otherwise simple card.

No Lion, Dad!

I will be entering this in the new Curtain Call Challenge - Simplicity

Loads of Birthday Fun! {Lawn Fawn}

Hello there!  Today I have a fun card that I am sharing on the Lawnscaping Blog, that mixes and matches a bunch of my favorite Lawn Fawn stamp sets!

To start my card, I diecut a piece of Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor paper with the largest die in the Large Stitched Rectangles Stackables die set. I challenged myself to use a color combo that seems to be everywhere lately - Mint and Coral.  Truth by told, I don't love these colors (I'm probably the only one on the planet that feels this way LOL!), which is why I challenged myself.  I watercolored a background with Cracked Pistachio and Pumice Stone distress inks.  A while back, I saw a polka dot washer and dryer on Pinterest, and I couldn't wait to recreate it by paper piecing the washer from the Loads of Fun stamp set with some Lawn Fawn patterned paper!  I stamped and colored a bunch of other images from that set and die cut them with the coordinating dies.  Inspired by one of the sentiments in the stamp set, I decided to create a birthday card, and pulled out my Party Animal stamp set, and I will never turn down the opportunity to use the Baaah Humbug sheep.  He's the cutest!  I played around with placement, and adhered some pieces with a glue pen, and others popped up with foam tape.  Finally, I glued the panel to a white card base.

Loads of Birthday Fun!

I am quite happy with how this turned out.  I sure to love mixing and matching my Lawn Fawn stamps, especially when it's an unlikely combination.  Stretching your stamps = more bang for your buck!

Hope you like!  That's all for me today!  Thanks for stopping by! :)

Hi there!  It's time for another Lawnscaping Challenge!  A sketch challenge!

For my card, I started with a white card base.  I cut two strips of white cardstock at 3/4" and adhered them on a diagonal on the card base.  I diecut on of the Stitched Rectangles Stackables from white cardstock to create my little scene.  I used Tumbled Glass and Shabby Shutters distress inks to add color to the diecut  and then used the grass border from Chirpy Chirp Chirp stamp set with Freshly Cut Grass ink.  I stamped, colored and diecut the owl and baby and tree stump from the Mom and Me stamp set, and popped them up on foam tape.  Then, I mounted the panel on a white Scalloped Rectangles Stackable diecut, and added it to the card base with foam tape.

Sparkle and Shine Challenge #28 - Purple

Hello there!  It's time for another Sparkle and Shine Challenge!  This challenge is all about PURPLE!

We are sponsored by our friends at Right At Home!

For my card today, I inked up a new set by my friend Elena for Neat and Tangled!  It's called Better Together and these little kiddos are just too adorable.  Pair them with an amazing font combination, and it's perfection!  I started off by diecutting a piece of white cardstock with the Avery Elle Wonky Stitches dies and then inked Dusty Concord distress ink to blend a purple ombre on that panel.  I adhered a piece of Lawn Fawn Let's Polka in the Dark patterned paper on the bottom of the panel to ground the images a bit.  Then I stamped, colored, and fussy cut out these sweet kiddos.  I popped them up with foam tape, and stamped a sentiment from the same set just above them.  I diecut a purple heart using the Simon Says Stamp Tiny Hearts die, and added a few 4mm Sparkling Clear sequins from Ptetty Pink Posh.  Then I popped the panel up on a white card base with foam tape, and added a twine bow with Lawn Fawn Orchid Lawn Trimmings.

You are my favorite

Reverse Confetti April Blog Hop!

Whoot whoot!  It's Reverse Confetti release day and blog hop day!!  All of the new goodies that we have been showcasing this week are now available in the Reverse Confetti store!

For my card today, I just had to use the other adorable koala from the Bear Hugs stamp set.  Yesterday I featured a card using the other image in this set, but I couldn't let the release go by without sharing a card using this sweet image, too.  To make my card, I started off by watercoloring a piece of Tim Holtz Distress watercolor paper with my Artist's Loft watercolor palette.  When it was dry, I added a stitched edge to the panel with the new Edge Essentials Confetti Cuts.  To ground my little koala, I diecut the solid panel from the Double Panel Circles Confetti cuts out of white cardstock, and the outline circle panel from the same die set out of dark grey cardstock.  I adhered it near the bottom of the watercolor panel.  I stamped and colored the large koala from the Bear Hugs stamp set, and die cut it with the coordinating Bear Hugs Confetti Cuts.  I popped the bear up with some foam tape and stamped a sentiment from the A Friend Life You stamp set.

I miss your face

This sentiment is my favorite from the A Friend Like You stamp set.  It just makes me giggle! LOL!  I really love the Edge Essentials stitched edge die especially.  I really like that you can add stitched lines where ever you life, and they don't have to be perfectly aligned.  I think uneven borders add lots of whimsy to the card.  I will be using these dies a ton, I just know it!

I miss your face

That's all for me today, but be sure to hop and see all of the amazing design team creations!  Here is a full hop list:
