Happy Howlidays {Sunny Studio Stamps}

Hello there! Today, I'm here with a card featuring the Santa's Helper's stamp set by Sunny Studio Stamps.  It was difficult trying to decide which images to use for my project today, but then as I was coloring them, I had a lightbulb moment.  At first, when looking at this image, I didn't see a cocker spaniel but, then I decided to color the patch of hair under their chin like a bandana, and suddenly, I thought they started looking like my babies!  I'm so excited to finally have a stamp that looks like them!

I started off by watercoloring a piece of Tim Holtz watercolor paper with my Artist's Loft watercolor set from Michaels.  When it was dry, I ran it through my diecut machine to give it a stitched edge suing the Wonky Stitches dies by Avery Elle. I wanted to bring in a bit of red to coordinate with the Santa's hats, so I pulled out a piece of red and white striped patterned paper from my stash.  I popped the dogs up using foam tape after diecutting them with their coordinating dies.  I stamped a sentiment from the set on a speech bubble diecut  by Pretty Pink Posh, and then added some diecut snowflakes which are also included in the Santa's Helpers die set.  To add a bit of sparkle around the snowflakes, I added some sparkling clear sequins, and then mounted the panel on a dark green card base using foam tape.  Finally, I added a bow with my favorite red and white bakers twine by Lawn Fawn.

COLOR-ful Christmas Tags! {Lawn Fawn}

Hello there!  Today, I am sharing a pair of COLOR-ful Christmas tags on the Lawn Fawn blog,  I am a firm believer that cute packaging can really dress up even the most inexpensive gifts.  After all, it's the thought that counts, right?  I have a bunch of little people on my holiday list this year, and I thought it would be fun to gift a new coloring book and new crayons.  I always loved getting new crayons as a child, and even as an adult, it makes me a little giddy.  LOL!

I started off my tags by diecutting the largest tag from the Stitched Circles Tags set out of Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Paper, I sponged on Picked Raspberry Distress ink on one and Twisted Citron on the other, then  I added some water droplets to bleach out some of the color.  For more interest, I added some distress ink splatters to each tag.  While I was waiting for them to dry, I diecut a little treeline using the Forest Border die.  Then I stamped, colored and die cut the crayon from the Color My World stamp set, along with the little santa hat and light string from Baaah Humbug (I want to use those tiny lights on everything!).  When my watercolor was dry, I started putting my scene together.  Before I adhered anything down, I stamped a custom sentiment by combining sentiment from several stamp sets. "Have a" is from the Sweet Smiles stamp set, "Color" is from the Color My World set, I used Milo's ABCs to finish off the word, and "Christmas" is from the Winter Gifts tamp set.  After I finished the sentiments, I adhered everything with foam tape and glue pen, and tied up each gift with colored twill.  I added each tag with some Peppermint Lawn Trimmings.

Happy Harvest - Sunny Studio Stamps

Hello there!  Today I have a fun pie themed card using the Harvest Happiness stamp set!  Just because this stamp set is full of fall and Thanksgiving images, you can do so much more with it!  I love this image and sentiment.

I started by watercoloring a very subtle background using Cracked Pistachio distress ink.  Then I diecut a stitched frame around the edge of the watercolor piece when it was dry.  I love using tag dies for the base of my focal point on cards.  I diecut this tag three different times from cardstock, and patterned papers.  I adhered the striped paper to the bottom of the white tag, and then popped that tag up on the polkadot tag behind it with foam tape.  I tilted the top tag slightly to show a little snippet of the polkadot patterned paper.  I stamped, colored and die cut the pie slice image from the Harvest Happiness stamp set, using the coordinating dies, and then stamped a sentiment from the same set on a banner diecut to put below it. I stamped a few hearts from the Happy Home stamp set on the tag, and added a bigger diecut heart to the banner to create a visual triangle.  After I adhered to the watercolor piece, I threaded an aqua button with some bakers twine to cover up the tag hole, and then adhered the whole panel to an aqua care base with foam tape.

I love you more than pie

Christmas Ever After! {Lawn Fawn}

Hey there! Today, I have a magical Christmas tag to share with you over on the Lawn!  The theme of the current Lawnscaping Challenge is "out with the old"... so I dusted off some of  my older Lawn Fawn favorites to whip up this tag.

I started by by diecutting the largest star from the Puffy Star Stackables die set out of red cardstock and also out of the red and white bokeh paper from the Let's Bokeh in the Snow 6x6 paper pad.  I adhered the patterned paper to the cardstock to give the tag a little more stability.  I used the Puffy Clouds border dies to cut clouds for the bottom of my star, and also cut another layer of clouds from vellum.  It is a bit hard to see in the photo, but I used spray adhesive on the white cloud and dipped it in gorgeous crystal glitter.  I stamped and colored the castle and dragon from the Critters Ever After stamp set, and then die cut them with coordinating dies.  I wanted the castle to look a bit like it belonged at the North Pole.  I added the tiny Santa hat from the Baaah Humbug stamp set to the dragon, and finally, a scattering of snowflakes cut from white card stock using the Mini Snowflakes die.  To finish things off, I added a bit of red tulle and some Peppermint Lawn Trimmings.

Lawnscaping Challenge #118 - In with the old

**This is my second post for the day.  If you are looking for my Lawn Fawn Holiday Week post, please scroll down**

Hello there! It's time for another Lawnscaping Challenge! This week, we are digging out our neglected goodies and putting them to good use!

We are sponsored this week by our friends at Lawn Fawn!

One of the things I love most about Lawn Fawn is the mix and matchiness of all of their products.  Old sets and new sets work beautifully together!  It's been awhile since I gave Critters from the Past any love, and there is a certain 4-year-old on my holiday list that loves dinosaurs, so I set out to create a gift tag for him.

I started off by diecutting the Stitched Journaling Card from white cardstock.  Then I masked off a hill with post it tape and added some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to brighten up the sky.  I stamp some snowflakes using the Snowy Backdrops stamp set and Yeti ink.  Then I stamped, colored and fussy cut the dinosaurs and palm tree from Critters in the past.  I decorated everyone for Christmas using images from Baaah Humbug and Holiday Party Animal.  To personalize my tag, I used Milo's ABCs, another oldie but goodie.

Lawn Fawn Holiday Week!

Hey there!  It's Lawn Fawn Holiday week!  Every day this week, tons of holiday inspiration is coming your way using your favorite Lawn Fawn stamps!  Be sure to check out the blog every day for a new post!  Here is the card that I created using a bunch of different stamp sets and dies!

I started off by diecutting a piece of white cardstock using the largest die from the Large Stitched Rectangles die set.  Then I heat embossed the Snowy Backdrops snow in white embossing powder.  I added a very light dusting of Tumbled Glass distress ink over the embossing so get it to pop off of the paper a bit. Then I added a snowy hill using the Stitched Hillside borders. I stamped and colored the tree from Critters in the Forest, the adorable little sheep from Baaah Humbug, and a bunch of his accessories, and the stack of presents from Toboggan Together.  For my sentiment, I diecut the word "merry" from several colors of cardstock using Louie's ABCs dies, and finished off the sentiment by selectively inking part of a sentiment from the Snow Day stamp set.  Finally, I added a striped bow using Peppermint Lawn Trimmings.

I had SO much fun with this card!  I just love mixing and matching my stamp sets!!

Sparkle and Shine Challenge #18

Hey there!  It's time for another Sparkle and Shine Challenge!  Here is the inspiration photo for the next two weeks! :)

We are sponsored by our friends at Winnie and Walter!

As much as I love bright colors, I also love rustic.  The inspiration photo reminds me of how I'd decorate my front porch for fall.  So instead of using bright white like I normally would, I though a kraft card was perfect for this challenge!

I started off by using my Paper Smooches Geo Graphic stamp set to stamp black chevrons on the bottom third of a kraft card base.  Then I used my Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles dies to diecut a panel for my focal point.  I stamped the jar image from the Paper Smooches Best Buds on the panel, and then used my copic markers to color it in.  I used a white gel pen to add accents to the image, and then popped the panel up on the card base using foam tape.  For another rustic touch, I added a button thread with jute twine, and a few wine colored sequins.

25 Days of Christmas Tags - Lawn Fawn

**This is my second post today! If you are looking for my Sunny Studio/Card Maker colloration blog hop, please scroll down**

Hello there!  I am back with another 25 Days of Christmas Tags project!  To find out all about the 25 Days of Christmas Tags, be sure to check out my friend Tracy's blog!

Today, we are sharing projects using Lawn Fawn products!

For my project, I used the limited edition collaboration stamp set that Lawn Fawn did for Simon Says Stamp, called Merry Christmouse.  It is a super adorable set, perfect for wishing anyone a cheesy holiday season! :)

I started off by cutting three of the largest Stitched Circle Tags dies; one in yellow and  two in light orange cardstock.  I used the Snowy Backdrops die on the yellow tag to imitate the look of swiss cheese.  I adhered my hole-y tag to one of the light orange tags.  Then I used the Stitched Hillside Border dies to make a snowbank for my mice.  I stamped, colored and diecut a few of the mice and their cheesy tree, and then popped them up on my tag with foam tape.  I added a few snowflakes using the Mini Snowflakes die set, and a few tiny sparkly sequins.

Merry Christmouse

I took the other light orange tag, and put a score line just below the tag hole so that I could make the tag into a little folding card that opens to reveal a greeting, and another cheesy surprise.

Merry Christmouse

I added a few jingle bells and some Peppermint Lawn Trimmings for a fun touch. :)

Hope you like my cheesy Christmas tag!!  Thanks for stopping by!

Card Maker Magazine & Sunny Studio Stamps Blog Hop!

Hello there!!  Today I am participating in the Card Maker Magazine and Sunny Studio Stamps Blog Hop!  Lots of inspiration coming your way, along with prizes and a discount code to go shopping!!

For my project, I used two Sunny Studio stamp sets - Snow Kissed and Bundled Up.  I stamped, colored and fussy cut the skiing penguin from the Snow Kissed stamp set,  It's  hard to tell in the picture, but I glittered her hat and scarf, and used glossy accents on her goggles to make them shiny.  I hand cut a hill using a post-it note and masked it off, then used Tumbled Glass distress ink to add some blue to the sky on my little square.  Then I popped the penguin up with foam tape, and matted the square with a pinked edge square.  I used Picked Raspberry distress ink very lightly to add some color to the background on a stitched rectangle die cut, and then stamped snowflakes in hot pink pink on a diagonal across the rectangle.  I popped the square up on the rectangle with foam tape, and stamped a sentiment from the Bundled Up stamp set.  Then I  added some sequins for a little sparkle, and adhered the panel on to a hot pink card base.

Cool Christmas

Hello there! Today I am excited to be participating in the 25 Days of Christmas Tags!  This tradition was started by my friend Tracy McNeely.  Every day, for 25 days, a different stamp company is highlighted, and lots of awesome ideas for Christmas tags are shared!  Be sure to visit Tracy's blog so you don't miss a thing!

Today, we are highlighting Paper Smooches products!  You all know how much I love Paper Smooches! :)

I just got my most recent Paper Smooches order, and could not wait to play with the Snowman 2 die and the new  Lovely Snowflake die!  They are just adorable!  I diecut the snowman from white cardstock and colored all of his pieces with my copic markers and then pieces him back  together.  I diecut the largest Hexalong die, and used the Stitched dies to diecut a ground for my snowman to sit on.  I masked off the snow and added a subtle blue sky with distress ink.  I popped that up on a rectangular diecut, and then added the snowflake to the top right corner.  I scattering of sequins and some white gel accents finish things off.

Home Is Where the Heart Is {Sunny Studio Stamps}

Hello there!  Today I have a card to share with you using Sunny Studio Stamps! The new Happy Home stamp set is perfect for lots of occasions.  With several house designs, you can build adorable little scenes.  I started off my card with a kraft card base.  On the top of the card base, I stamped the tiny sprinkle dot from the Birthday Smiles stamp set to make a subtle polkadot pattern.  On the bottom, I used a piece of gingham patterned paper from my stash.  To create the focal point for the card, I used my copic markers to add some color to a diecut rectangle.  Then I stamped, colored and fussy cut the house and tree from the Happy Home stamp set.  The tiny bush on the right side of the house is actually a cloud, but I think it works nicely as shrubs too.  I stamped a sentiment, also from the Happy Home stamp set, on the bottom of the scene, and added some clouds to the sky.  Of course, no happy home is complete without tiny hearts bursting out of the chimney. :)

Home is where the heart is

I hope you enjoyed my project today!  Be sure to check the Sunny Studio blog again tomorrow for lots more inspiration from the design team!  Have a great day!! :)

Adorable Christmas Elves! {Just ME Digital Stamps}

Oh.My.Goodness.  I am SO excited.  One of my favorites, Elena Roussakis, of Just ME Prints, just opened up her etsy shop filled with a bunch of her ADORABLE hand drawn images!  Her Christmas/Winter collection consists of 8 sets of images, which you can buy individually (but I'm pretty sure you will agree that they are too cute to pass up... and you'll buy them ALL!)

Ok, so you might be asking "what are digital stamps?"  Digital stamps are image files that you purchase and then open up in a photo editing software program.  You don't need any fancy programs.  In fact, I use a free program called Pixlr.  You open up the file in the photo editing program and you can resize the image, move it around, combine it with other digital images to create scenes, etc.  SO fun!  Then you print them out, color them, and use them in your papercrafting projects!

For this card, I used the Christmas Elves digi image.  Eeeeek!  So cute I can't stand it!

Just ME Prints digi images

For this card, I combined several images.  I used the Christmas Boy Elf, and then I added the single girl elf from the Christmas Elves file and have them sitting on the banner image from the Sweet Christmas Deer Tag file.  Once I know who this card will be sent to, I will fill in the "to" spot on the front, and add a fun message and probably a gift card inside.

Just ME Prints digi images

I am having SO much fun playing with these adorable images.  Be sure to check out Elena's etsy shop and grab a few for yourself!

Lawnscaping Challenge #117 - Thinking of You

Hello there!  Today starts a new Lawnscaping Challenge!  This challenge has a thinking of you theme.  Perfect for messages of hope, love and encouragement!!

We are sponsored this week by our friends at Ellen Hutson!

I couldn't wait to use my new Baaah Humbug stamp set!  I started off by watercoloring a piece of Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor paper with some Picked Raspberry Distress Ink.  I created an ombre effect by fading the color as I went up the paper.  When it was dry, I dripped some water on the paper and let it sit for a few seconds before blotting it up with a paper towel, then added a stitched edge with the largest die from the Small Stitched Rectangles die set.  I used the Louie's ABCs dies to diecut my sentiment from white card stock, and adhered it to the watercolor piece with a glue pen.  I stamped, colored and fussy cut the cute little standing sheep from the Baaah Humbug stamp set, and the little heart from the Critters Ever After stamp set, for him to hold.  I popped him up with some foam tape. I added a scattering of stamped hearts from the Monster Mash stamp set. Then I diecut a piece of patterned paper from the Hello Sunshine 6x6 paper pad with the largest die from the Large Stitched Rectangles die set, and adhered that to my card base.  I popped the watercolor piece up wit foam tape and tied a bow using Cloudy Lawn Trimmings.

I love ewe

Sparkle and Shine Challenge #17

Hi there!  It's time for another Sparkle and Shine Challenge!  This is our inspiration photo for the challenge:

We are sponsored this week by Pretty Pink Posh!

Here is my card!  I started off by watercoloring a piece of Tim Holtz watercolor paper with several shades of Distress Ink to match the color of the dresses in the inspiration photo.  I die cut the watercolor piece with the medium frame from the Tipped Tops die set by Papertrey Ink.  Then, using the largest die from the same set, I cut a mat from dark purple card stock.  I stamped a sentiment from the Carnival Toppers stamp set by Mama Elephant on a strip of white cardstock and cut a banner end on the left side.  I popped that up on the watercolor piece.  Then, I diecut, stamped and colored the frame and one of the cupcakes from the Papertrey Ink Bakers Dozen stamp set.  I adhered the frame with a glue pen, and popped the cupcake up with foam tape.  Then I added a scattering of Sparkling Clear and iridescent sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.
