Baby Wishes

The current Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge photo is baby themed, and since I don't get to make many baby cards, I thought this was a good opportunity. :)

I used a bunch of new Paper Smooches stamps from the October release, available tomorrow, October 1st.

To made the birds nest, I selectively inked a coffee cup from the new set, Hot Concoctions, then used a little bitty birdie from the new set My Peeps, the tree branch is from Hang Ups and the sentiment is from Word Up. The finished size is 4" x 4".

I am just loving the new PS releases... then again, I never met a PS stamp that I didn't like ;) There is still time time play along with the SPARKS challenge... you have until midnight PT on October 5th :)

Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge - Entry #3

I have had some extra crafty time lately, and I am loving it! :) Do you ever pick up cheap odds and ends with no real purpose in mind, and then tuck them away for a rainy day? Well, it has been pretty rainy here in Florida, and often too hot to go outside (when is fall coming to Florida?!?!) so I have been hybernating in my craft room, and loving every minute of it.

Anyway, back to cheap odds and ends... I LOVE the Target Dollar Spot. A long while back, I picked up a few of these large plastic clothespins for a buck. I believe they still have wooden ones in the frames section of Target, but they are about $6. I have been trying to challenge myself to make something other than cards, so when I came across the giant clothespin that I had hidden, the Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge came to mind. The inspiration photo is of a baby onesie held on a line with clothespins. I took one of my favorite pictures of my hunky husband and I, printed it in black and white, and altered the clothespin using the Perptual Bliss stamp set.

I have it sitting on my shelf in my craft room :)

Supplies:
Stamps: Paper Smooches Perpetual Bliss, Falling for You, Spiffy Scooters (tiny heart)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Papertrey Ink Sweet Blush, New Leaf, Hibiscus Burst
Dies: PTI Limitless Layers 1.75", Double Ended Banner Die
Other: Copic Markers, Sakura Stardust Pen, Striped Ribbon & Clothespin (Target Dollar Spot)

Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge - Entry #2

Still playing with my new Paper Smooches stamps... I am loving the photo inspiration for the SPARKS challenge this time around. Having all boys in my house (2 little ones and 1 big one), I don't get many opportunities to craft in PINK, which happens to be my favorite color. I am taking advantage of this challenge, and also trying to get a jump on holiday goodies and packaging.

This year, I am planning to make coffee/tea/hot chocolate gifts for the boys' teachers and I was THRILLED to see the addition of a hot beverage set to the Paper Smooches lineup. Hot Concoctions, will be available on October 1st, but I have my set a bit early because I am a member of the Paper Smooches Club.

Sometimes, the simpliest and most inexpensive gifts can look like a million bucks with a little bit of fun wrapping. I found a kraft gift bag at Target for $.50, and added a tag, some bakers twine and some fun fibers. So cute, isn't it?

And a closeup... I used my new Damask Snowflakes dies from Papertrey Ink. LOVE them! The Tag Sale #1 die is also from PTI.

The little bitty tea bag is also paper of the Paper Smooches stamp set. I stamped it, cut it out, added some tea dye ink and attatched it with some twine. So cute!

Supplies:
Stamps: Paper Smooches Hot Concoctions
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, PTI Tea Dye Duo
Paper: PTI Stampers Select White, Raspberry Fizz
Dies: PTI Tag Sale #1, Damask Snowflakes

Thanks for the Lift

Still enjoying my Paper Smooches Stamps!! :)

I just love this little squirrel from the Hang Ups stamp set. I would use him on every card if I could :) On this card, I paired him with the clouds and helicopter from the new Sunny Side Up stamp set. The clouds on the kraft base are heat embossed with clear embossing powder and outlined with the T1 Copic marker to give them a little more dimension.

Welcome Baby Jackson Conner!

I was married very young, and became a mom about a year after we were married, but alot of my friends are just now getting married and starting their families. One of my dearest friends just had her first baby, Jackson Conner. Little Jackson is definately a perfect little miracle baby. Jacque, my BFF, had 3 miscarriages before she was blessed with Baby J. He is perfect and healthy and definately getting his share of love from his elated family! They still live at home in PA, and I am here in Florida, but I have plans to go home to meet him before the snow starts falling up there! ;)

I made a name picture like this for my nephew, Malakai. Jackson's room is also done in a jungle theme, so I thought he needed one too. We didn't know until he was born that he was a boy, and Jacque and Mike kept his name a secret too which I think is so cool.

And of course, no present is complete without a card. I got to use my PTI Hanging Out stamp set. SO fun! :)

Stamps: Outline Alphabet, Tiny Treats: Birthday, Merry Little Christmas

Scooter turned Golf Cart!

I have been hearing about Paper Smooches Stamps since the company started in February, but had not bought any until recently, and let me tell you.... I am HOOKED! I seriously want them all. Not only are they absolutely adorable, but because they are all the same open line design, they ALL coordinate with eachtoher. The versatility in these stamps is amazing. And as an added bonus, I am giving my Copics a work out. Great stuff.

I have accumulated several sets in a short amount of time, I love that you can build little scenes with them. I have loved the Spiffy Scooters set for awhile now, and I finally got it in my last order. My sweet husband's birthday is in a few weeks. He works hard. Harder than anyone should have to. The poor guy has not had the time to golf (which he LOVES to do) in over a year. His birthday is the perfect reason to get him a giftcard for his favorite golf course. With that in mind, I turned a Spiffy Scooter into a Spiffy Golf Cart ;) I also used bits and pieces from the Sunny Side Up set, the Hang Ups set, and the Sentiment Sampler Set.

Inside:

I made a matching giftcard envelope with the Papertrey Ink Seed Packet Die.

Supplies:
Stamps: Paper Smooches Spiffy Scooters, Sunny Side Up, Hang Ups, Sentiment Sampler
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black Ink pad and matching marker
Paper: Papertrey Ink Stampers Select White, Pure Poppy
Other: PTI Seed Packet Die, Copics, White Gel Pen
