Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge - 1.26 - 2.8

It's time again for another Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge! This challenge will run from January 26 - February 8. There were so many great entries in the last challenge! This color palette is a little more subdued and pastel. I uaually use bright colors when crafting, so this was a nice change of pace. You can see the inspiration photo above :)

Papertrey Ink January Blog Hop!

Time again for another PTI Blog Hop! Here is the challenge this month:

And here is a new card, inspired by the original. I used the Mehndi Medallion $5 set, Tiny Tags #1 and the Tiny Tags die, and the sentiment is from Tremendous Treats: Valentine. I just LOVE coloring these medallions.

Wee Memories - The LAST Challenge

I am so sad to hear that the Wee Memories challenges are coming to an end. I have participated in quite a few and have enjoyed every one of them. I do understand that they must be alot of work, and I am excited that Jenny has many other things going on in her crafty world :)



This challenge was a sketch. Believe it or not, I have the hardest time with those. I decided to make my card horizontal and change things slightly to keep in line with the sketch. I used Papertrey Ink's Tremendous Treats: Valentine. All of these little critters are ADORABLE, and I LOVE adding Googly eyes to them. :) The sentiment is from its sister set, Tiny Treats: Valentine. The image is stamped on the Happy Day die and the patterned paper is from the Simple Valentine paper pad. The loopy edge is from a border in the Little Bitty Bird Stamp set. Since I don't have a scallop border die, I finished off my edge with the Pinking Shears die (one of my faves!)

Runway Inspired Challenge #4 - Rainbows

As a child of the 80's who thought her BFF was Rainbow Bright, I LOVE rainbows and bright, fun, color. The new Runway Inspired Challege (#4) and all about rainbows. Of course, I had to participate. I chose to do a very CAS design to let the color take center stage ;) Here is the inspiration photo:



I used two Butterfly dies from Papertrey Ink. The first coordinates with the Butterfly Dreams Stamp Set and the other coordinates with the Signature Series: Butterfly stamp set. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches Word Salad set. The rainbow was created with the broad side of Copic Markers.

Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge - 1.12 - 1.25

I can't believe that 2012 is already here! And it's time for another Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge! The inspiration photo shown above is SO fun! There are so many design elements that caught my eye, biggest of all, those polkadots! :) The background was created with a 1-inch circle punch. I used the bear from the Chubby Chums Pals and added a sentiment from the same set. The plaid heart is from Falling For You.

Love Is in the Air

*sigh* Love is in the air. Valentine's Day is fast approaching, and it's time to get some crafting done in my favorite color - PINK! I absolutely LOVE this week's color combo over at the ColourQ blog - Challenge #119.



I was itching to use my new set from PTI, Tremendous Treats: Valentine. I love the tiny version, but I think this set is even better (if that is even possible!). I just adore these images. For this card, I used the airplane. The sentiment is from Tiny Treats: Valentine, the "fireworks" are PTI Dot Spot, and the Cloud dies are also from PTI.

Flower Pot Pen Holder

Today I am sharing with you another project for the Sweet Stamp Shop Design Team call.



I am so excited about how this project turned out. I must reinforce once again, my love for the Target Dollar Spot. While shopping the other day, I came across some adorable mushroom pens for $1 each. Normally I would never be drawn to mushroom anything, but immediately, I thought about my Gnomies stamp set and knew what I wanted to make - a pen holder.



I used a small terracotta pot and added a handful of cotton balls to the inside. Styrofoam would probably work, but I was worried about damaging the pens. They are styrofoam themselves. The cotton balls hold them upright with no problem. I stamped each of the Gnomies and colored them, then cut them out and adhered them to a toothpick. I added a layer of moss to the top, and stuck everything in. Finally I added a raffia bow and a tiny mushroom tag using PTI's Tiny Tags die.

Hello Beautiful!

I was quite excited to hear that the Sweet Stamp Shop is holding an open call for their Design Team. I have a few SSS sets and would love to part of such a fun DT. I just got most of my SSS stamps, and this call was an excellent reason to ink them up! For this gift card tin, I used Hello Beautiful. I am planning ahead a bit and will use this tin to hold a giftcard to the salon for my mom for Mother's Day. I had so much fun with this set!!

Gnome-body Like You!

My favorite season is upon us... Valentine's Day season :) I am so lucky and blessed to be in love. Real, can't live without you, LOVE. My husband is my best friend. I made this card with him in mind. I am not sure that I will keep it until Velentine's Day though. I often leave little cards in his overnight bag when he leaves for work. I am sure this will end up there sooner than later ;)

I used Sweet Stamp Shop's Gnomies set. It is SUPER cute! The twine is from Paper Smooches. :)
